Questions RE: Aftermarket Wheels, Offsets, Tire Sizes, etc...

I've downsized from 21" to 20" Running 20x9 up front with 255/40/20 and 20x10 rear with 285/35/20 pilot super sports. Really like the setup and handles much better than before. 275/40/20 will not fit in the front as 255 already rubs slightly.

Also I don't think any other car company can use the phone to contact your car to drive it self to get you and put it self in the garage automatically

Michelin Pilot Super Sport 245/35 21

That is totally untrue. I have over 30,000 miles on my tires and they are staggered (255/285rear) and they will last probably 10-15k miles more.

    SCE rate plans

weird, never got it. I just sent you a PM with my personal email. I haven't seen your roof so I can't comment on how much panel can fit. But based on your usage, if you are using 17kwh during the peak hour, it is best not to go TOU since you would need a 20kw-22kw system to generate any excess...

    SCE rate plans

I've done probably 20+ systems for tesla owners including my own on TOU EV. First step I would do is figure out how much your peak power usage is during the daytime is and size a system accordingly rather than sizing the system base on your total consumption. If you want to post a daily usage...

Summer Tire replacement - stay with 21", or drop to 19"

went down to 20" and it opened up a lot of tire choices for cheap. I am projecting 40k rear and 50k front on my staggered 20"s on michelin pilot supersport.

Just as I thought the P85+ couldn't get any better :)

Wow old thread. I now have 25,000 miles on them and just hit a nail last week. When I took it to the tire shop and they said I still had 4-5/32 left in the rears. I was pretty shocked how much tread is still left given everyone complaining on the forum. I think 40k rears and 50k front is no...

Initial Impressions: Michelin Pilot Super Sport XL versus Continental Extreme Contact

I have 22k miles on my rear and still a couple thousand more to go before I need to replace them. No rotating due to the staggered size. Great alternative to the factory ps2 or continental. Noise gets louder with more wear.

Public service announcement for P+ owners

I swapped to michelin pilot sport and to 20" wheels. I now have 22,000 miles on it already and still have thread left. The front should make it to 35-50k no problem the rear maybe to 30,000 miles.

    Show off your aftermarket wheels.

Those are Vorsteiners VF-101. Flow-forged (flow-form) wheels. Pretty light around at 18-20lb each. Not sure offset, but the fronts are 20 x 9 and rear are 20 x 10. Running 255/40/20 and 285/35/20 in front.

Rear tires for the P85+ with 21x9 rears -- Michelin, Dunlop or Continental?

I think the 275 is also nicer for rim protection as the tires spill over the rim slightly. The additional height will also fill in the wheel gap quite nicely. The unsprung weight does not really have any effects on the way this car handles or accelerates. I switched to 20" which are 10-15lbs...
