    Inaccurate temperature readings

I experience this from time to time and have wondered. It's never been frequent enough or problematic enough that I have taken it any further so far. (M3LR / Dec 2020)

    M3 Faulty matrix headlight

I had one of mine replaced in January. It did come back on a few times during the weeks I was waiting for the service centre appointment, but was dead on appointment day. Stupidly on my part and due to some confusion/distraction over the service centre temporary pin to use the vehicle, I...

    [Question] Trade-in experience

Same experience for me, parked my trade in a carpark behind the pick up area, there was no pre-inspection beyond the photos. When I was given the keys and shown to my new M3 they didn't even look then, in fact I had to remind them to take my old keys.

    AC vents

Just me then 😂 . Yes, I know what you mean about adjusting while driving. I'm still mastering the adjust temperature without putting the heated seats on technique.

    AC vents

Just had a quick watch of the Tesla Model S Plaid delivery event and I learned something about my M3 that I never realised. Am I the only person that didn't realise you could move the front vents up and down (left right) by touching the AC screen?!! You can see it here for MS but the same...

    Company Registered keeper query

The same happened to me, I queried with Churchill, they didn't care, but I wasn't 100% happy about it for the future etc. So, I added my personal name alongside the company details on the V5 (under the change of address type section I think), so it was updated from company name -> my name...

    Isle of Wight advice

Thanks all, think maybe I've blown it out of proportion, thinking IoW is bigger than it is! Thanks Sabs, we're staying in Norton, there's a destination charger at Tapnell Farm that could be useful, and the Newport one thanks.

    Isle of Wight advice

Thank you that's reassuring. I'm sure I'm overthinking it! Ah ok, probably give that a miss then, as were arriving via Fishbourne. Good to know though thanks.

    Isle of Wight advice

Thanks for your replies. No sadly not, its some cottages with shared amenities and the parking is away from them a little way. Oh that sounds ominous, anything in particular you had in mind?

    Isle of Wight advice

Hope everyone's doing well! Later in the year, covid permitting we have a postponed trip to Isle of Wight, booked before my M3 was on the scene. As such were staying on the western edge of the island and our accommodation doesn't have charging and the car can't get close enough to the...

    Tesla Trade In

Out of interest my valuations from WBAC, Motorway & Tesla were very similar. (In fact my first valuation from Tesla expired and they re-did it and the valuation went up a few hundred quid). In the end I didn't reset the service light. On the day they didn't even physically see my trade in...

Company car / names on docs

So I purchased my M3 using my company (of which I am owner/director only employee). This was recommended by accountant. My V5C has come through from DVLA and it is in the companies name but says it doesn't prove ownership. Should my personal name be on this as the registered keeper? The...

    Silly question - model year

Yes just looked up the vin and it appears to be 2021, phone call to insurance company required I think! Thank you

    Silly question - model year

    Indeed it does.

    Silly question - model year

So I picked up my new M3LR on 19th December. It is the refreshed model. Does that make it a 2021 model? I can't seem to find a definitive answer, apart from the year of registration i.e. 2020. I think it is down on my insurance as a 2020 model because of the year/reg plate.

    Jedlix setup

I briefly started with ev.energy, but I couldn't easily see a way to adjust my schedule time (as my economy7 clock is out an hour), so I moved on. I will have another look once I move contracts / change suppliers/meter etc. Payback on Jedlix is currently 1p/kWh

    Jedlix setup

With grateful thanks to @Doofty for spelling this out for me, I now have a working setup. I have the Jedlix app setup with the schedule for my off peak times. In terms of the car settings there are none, no schedule etc. When you plug in during peak times, the car starts to charge and the...

    Jedlix setup

Thanks I'd read that, it doesn't seem to answer my question though sadly.

    Jedlix setup

Seasons greetings! After receiving my Tesla on Saturday, I'm loving it and trying to get up to speed with everything, it's great fun so far. I'm trying to setup Jedlix to smart charge according to my current tariff. I'm on economy 7 for the mo and so I have setup my off peak time in Jedlix to...

    Home charging choices

That's interesting thanks, I was under the impression the expensive bit was the DC protection part which was needed either way now. I'll have a look at Rolec, thanks.

    Home charging choices

Another question about home charging, for which I apologise. There's much to choose from but I keep circling back to the Tesla wall connector. In terms of the supply, some chargers require earth rods (or equiv.) and some require DC protection if it's not built in. From what I can tell the...

    Tesla Trade In

I might check out the auction if I'm feeling brave enough! Probably will forget very quickly though. Funny you should say that, I'm in the process of getting a warranty repair sorted before I trade in, been a right nuisance but its in progress now and should be all sorted before the big day...

    Tesla Trade In

Thank you both for your replies, I'll double check. Out of interest where did you see your car being auctioned after? Might be painful to find out what it goes for! It's the aggravation discount I'm considering it as!

    Tesla Trade In

I'm soon to swap my BMW for a M3 LR, which I'm super excited about as I'm sure you can imagine. For various reasons I'm trading my BMW with Tesla. I have a service light on my BMW currently as a service is just overdue. Has this been an issue for anyone trading in? I don't recall being...

TWC Gen 3 (Tesla Wall connector) for the UK

Moderator comment - thread merged from "Any news on Tesla Gen 3 Wall connector for the UK?" Hi, I don't suppose there's been any news on when the UK will get the Gen 3 Tesla wall connector? Also is it known whether the Gen 3 will still need a Type B RCD installed? (based on the US version)

    Finance / purchasing question

Morning all! I'm hoping for some advice from wise heads! I've just ordered a M3LR (hooray! very excited). I'm buying it through my own (ltd) company because of the 0/1/2% BIK. I'm trying to work out the best way of paying for it. Currently I'm tending towards the Tesla Business PCP (black...
