I drove really, really slow. The fisheye lens effect might make it look faster than it was. That said, it wasn't very deep either, given that the water pooled only to the height of the sidewalk. Compare that to the video from China I posted as a reference.

@GreenHokie I assume you've received your yoke by now. Can you share some photos on how it looks built into your car? Really curious about this!

@imschur: That yoke looks super nice and clean. How do you feel about the rather large bottom part when making tighter turns? I felt as if I had to reach higher than I should have, which was one reason for me to uninstall the yoke and return to the OEM wheel (for now).

Quick update from my side - this morning I removed the yoke again and put my old OEM steering wheel back in. Besides the aforementioned ergonomics (there's absolutely nothing wrong with Hansshow's craftsmanship on the yoke, so that's not it at all), another reason popped into my mind: I read...

So, since you have yours now as well, I feel that since this yoke is based on the original wheel - and not a total redesign as the Model S yoke - it's not as compact as the Model S yoke, and thus grabbing our yoke from the 4/5 and 7/8 o'clock position to do a wider turn makes it way to tall...

I installed 2021.24.4 yesterday, and it got all the things that others mentioned, including Disney+, the miles vs. battery % toggle, etc. Nice! Of course the new Dashcam Auto feature is my fav, knowing that in case of a collision 10min of cam footage will be saved automatically.

I am also still waiting on my 2021.24.x update for my 2021 M3P (currently on 2021.12.25.7), while my wife's 2018 Model X already has had 2021.24.3 for over week now, with .4 ready to download as of yesterday. Oh well. :)

My car didn't come with heated steering wheel to begin with, so that's no issue on my end. Dunno if that would throw any kind of error in your car though...

I haven't changed my steering modes yet, and I typically drive in "Comfort" mode all the time - even before the yoke. But I'll play around and let you know. And yes, I agree - the round steering wheels now totally feel obsolete and from a bygone era when looking at those yokes. :)

So I realized that Hansshow made a mistake when adding the scrollwheels and covers - see photo below: I ended up transferring the scroll wheels from my existing steering wheel to the yoke, and now I am quite happy with the results. Driving with the yoke is no problem at all, as I never used...

My steering yoke arrived today from Hansshow, and I am rather impressed with the overall quality of the leather and stitching. They've also included metal scroll wheels - which I didn't expect as all photos on their website show plastic ones. Also, it seems as if the airbag retention bracket is...

I emailed them as well, and here's what they said earlier today: "Almost finish prodution just making the complete one,please wait my updated" Sounds to me like they're producing in batches, so I hope that the next batch will include yours and mine. :)

Yes, that's the plan - self-installation thanks to the videos available online (including the one by i1Tesla reviewing it, and the one posted by @Durzel if I have to transfer my metal scroll wheels as well).

So that yoke also interests me, and I am very, very tempted. But - after emailing them - they only seem to have yokes with the plastic scroll wheels available instead of the 2021 metal scroll wheels. So that means to me that they're using older Tesla steering wheels to convert them to yokes...

Most folks that learned to drive correctly typically only use the 9 and 3 o'clock positions anyway, and usually turn assisted by gripping the flat underside of the steering wheel. So the top part of the wheel now "missing" shouldn't really make a difference. Of course, there's those that grip...

Have any of you reported those drivers to the police, with the dashcam recordings as proof of their recklessness on public roads, and the endangerment of others?

Of course, another question to ask is why do car makers still make legacy ICE cars in the light of global warming?
