12V battery is dead. What do I look for when buying a replacement?

With the many types and sizes of car batteries at retailers, what specification am I looking for to ensure the battery will work? Thanks.

    FSD Beta v11.x

It’s a great idea, so they’ll never do it
  3. C

    FSD Beta v11.x

Looks like the clowns at Tesla stopped rolling out for this batch. Really glad Twitter source code was leaked online earlier this week. Deserved.
  4. C

    FSD Beta v11.x

It would never happen because that makes perfect sense that the most eager wouldn’t be the ones to get it, according to Tesla dog fecal logic Edit: burned my check at 8:30pm PST. Still nothing. I hope other EVs catch up and sink Tesla.
  5. C

    FSD Beta v11.x

Woke up to still no update. Guess they’re only giving it out to the least deserving first.
  6. C

    FSD Beta v11.x

I was part of the OG 100 safety score and I still don't have anything. What a joke.
  7. C

    FSD Beta v11.x

People are getting it in order of sexual market value, lowest first.
  8. C

    FSD Beta v11.x

Still haven't received the update. This is beyond annoying.

Updating MY with 2022.45.12 (FSD 11.3.3) what's new?

Nope. Only the old/short folks who got 11.3.2 received 11.3.3
  10. C

HW4 leaked by @greentheonly - new cameras coming?

This was apparently from Day 0. How are you going to have a vision system that can't see oncoming cars from the close lane without needing to creep forward 3 feet into cross-traffic?
  11. C

FSD 11.3 is close to limited release

Limited release is another way of saying none of you plebs are getting it for another five months

    US FSD Jurisdiction

Same with calling it “beta”. Is it beta? For sure. But best believe Tesla isn’t dropping that subtext anytime soon. It’s their catch all excuse for unexpected, poor behavior from the system.

Does anyone know if, as of the latest update, whether use of a defeat device automatically gives a strike, or do you get a warning first?

You’re missing the key part of this thread. The software version. I specifically asked about the latest.
  14. C

Does anyone know if, as of the latest update, whether use of a defeat device automatically gives a strike, or do you get a warning first?

Confirming this is wrong. I received an audio and visual cue to remove the defeat device. It was not an instant strike or AP jail.

Mercedes approved for ACTUAL self driving in the USA. And will accept responsibility.

They are going to ride the "beta" subtitle forever because it allows them to skirt accountability. Same way Fortnite is still in beta after half a decade because any bugs can be hand waved away by referencing its beta state.
  16. C

Does anyone know if, as of the latest update, whether use of a defeat device automatically gives a strike, or do you get a warning first?

I'm going to keep using a defeat device regardless of how it makes you feel. Tens of thousands of people use one. Not a single accident. Don't make a mountain out of a mole hill because you get an immense amount of satisfaction and a sense of productivity playing the moral superiority card.
  17. C

Does anyone know if, as of the latest update, whether use of a defeat device automatically gives a strike, or do you get a warning first?

Do you have the latest version? Even in previous versions I was receiving warnings—not autopilot jail

    FSD Beta 5-strike strike-out auto-reset after 2 weeks

Lucky. Haven’t heard of anyone else outside of employees who got this update.
  19. C

    Autosteer defeat device warning

All of this inconvenience multiplied across millions of drivers just so when the first accident happens, Tesla can say “well we forced them to pay attention SEE SEE”
  20. C

    When is strike reset?

About time. I lost access end of November. Almost 2 months without a peep. Almost 2 months without access to software that costs $200/month.
  21. C

    FSD Beta 5-strike strike-out auto-reset after 2 weeks

I striked out in November. Updated to 44.30.5 more than 2 weeks ago. My release notes in the car don’t have any FSD beta section. I also have still not had my strikes reset.
  22. C

    When is strike reset?

Same here. 44.30.5. I’ve had the update for 2+weeks. No reset. I wonder if there’s an action we have to take for the button to toggleable again.

4 of 5 FSD Beta disengagement strikes!

This is how it used to be. As of the latest update, I’m still getting the cheat device nags, but they haven’t resulted in the auto lockout.
  24. C

4 of 5 FSD Beta disengagement strikes!

Doesn’t apply. The false strikes have been been immediate strikes without a flashing screen or any audio warning

Our thoughts on FSD Beta now detecting Autopilot cheat devices | TMC Podcast Clip

That one is not applicable to me. I have an interior camera and it's always uncovered.

Our thoughts on FSD Beta now detecting Autopilot cheat devices | TMC Podcast Clip

At this point, I have no faith even v11 will reset the strikes. It's already been 3 updates for me and I'm still locked out. I've already emailed [email protected] and followed up 4 times. Radio silence. This entire experience has me considering another automaker brand for my next EV.

FSD is unavailable now due to error in defeat device detected

Or if you had the shitty update from a month ago, you'd get a strike with ZERO warning.
  28. C

Our thoughts on FSD Beta now detecting Autopilot cheat devices | TMC Podcast Clip

I’m in exactly the same boat you are. Since it was a new warning, I couldn’t read the screen in time to understand it was the cheat device. 5/5 strikes in a single day on a road trip. Still don’t have access to FSD 3 updates later. $15,000 for this *sugar*.

Our thoughts on FSD Beta now detecting Autopilot cheat devices | TMC Podcast Clip

Not true. Tesla arbitrary chooses which firmwares reset your strikes. Historically, it has been every 3-4 upgrades. And we all know how infrequent we receive updates. It's a robbery.

    36.X and Steering Wheel Weight?

It still counts as a strike even with FSD disabled.

    10.8 FSD

    10.8 is 2021.44.25.5

Tesla Changed FSD Beta Suspension Threshold - Only For Some Users/vehicles

What cars/configs/software has that Autosteer Activation setting?
  33. C

Is an uncovered interior camera required for Autopilot on non-FSD firmware?

Wrong. You can cover your camera if you don’t have FSD beta features enabled.
  34. C

    First FSD Beta accident?

This jack’s mole couldn’t react because he wasn’t paying attention and blaming the FSD, potentially setting us all back so he could save face.
  35. C

    FSD beta coming to 98?

FCW warnings are a unit per 1000 miles.

Tesla Vision's Autopilot speed limit reduction from 90 -> 80 MPH has been a pain roadtripping across the country.

Let’s flex our brain muscles a bit and notice the difference between seldom having to switch lanes. And doing it every 50 seconds.
  37. C

Does exceeding 80mph or unbuckling seatbelt count against FSD?

Keep in mind all these answers are guesses, OP. No one knows for sure the exact conditions until someone does these things and gets penalized for it.
  38. C

    FSD Beta Revocation

Tons of “Pay attention to the road” and AP jail for ignoring the nags. No email from Tesla about booting me from the program. Anyone else receive warnings?
  39. C

    FSD Speed Limit of 80?

Yeah. AP jail for pushing past 90
  40. C

    FSD Speed Limit of 80?

I just finished a roadtrip across the country. From Florida to California. Taking I-10 nearly the entire way. For a vast majority of the length of I-10, the speed limit is 75. Which means people drive 85-90 in the fast lane. On the right lane, trucks average 67-70. Which means as someone who is...

Tesla Vision's Autopilot speed limit reduction from 90 -> 80 MPH has been a pain roadtripping across the country.

This is not true. I have FSD beta with a radar model Y. I tried a different profile with FSD disabled and I’m still locked to 80.
  42. C

Tesla Vision's Autopilot speed limit reduction from 90 -> 80 MPH has been a pain roadtripping across the country.

Big man. So mature. I’m sure you’ll get your reward for your efforts one of these days. Newsflash: being well-behaved is praised by grown-ups to children because it makes their job as a guardian easier. The byproduct long term is it makes for a terribly boring adult.
  43. C

    FSD Speed Limit of 80?

The limit to tied to Tesla Vision. Not FSD.
