When I design my route/stops for long trip, I feel it is very inconvenient. Sure the website can tell you where I should charge. But for some reasons I don't want to blindly follow the simple instruction.
1. first, i don't want to drain my battery down to single digit. I can rest a bit more in...
One thing I want to bring up is that, while your car has been driven for 5k miles (just saying), the battery may have been used much more than that due to AC/Heat usage, perhaps 7k or more. In EV, everything runs on battery.
I assume Tesla's downgrade experiment must have kept everything else...
Received the alert in my car yesterday and then in my phone. Scheduled a service in 3 mins on today's morning. It took them 3-4 hours before I was called to pickup.
It is for a PT sensor. The existing one will fail if the car stays at low temp for extended time and you will end up no heat. The...
Another benefit of keep it plugged in is, all activities, such as update, playing music on external speak, pre-heating, even open/shut the trunk doors, etc, will use the external power rather than using your battery.
I don't get TESLA's logic on not to read the advisory speed signs.
Ramp speed limit could be much lower than highway speed. Cruising on a 30 MPH ramp with a double speed may cost driver's life!
On my weekend trip, there is one ramp with significant lower speed (30 MPH) than the section that connects it (55 MPH) . I noticed that my MY still uses 60 MPH I set for 55 MPH high way speed when it is on the ramp. A little scary! I have to manually apply brake to get me out of FSD so I can...
Strongly agree. Remember all these automation are done by AI which needs to learn from a LOT of the actual scenes. And each emergency scene could be very different, far more complex than the normal driving situation.
Just FYI, I got close to 10 quotes for a 60-70 feet installation, all licensed. I went to the lowest bid, which is 1100 in cash, and I did the docs by myself.
I strongly suggest to get multiple quotes since the quotes range wildly, and I received 2-3 quotes with price close to 3K!
2005 Toyota 4runner. Great SUV. Especially love its drop down back window. With that, it transform to a "convertible" in summer!
The only issue is that, the maintaining cost is getting higher and higher. This eventually turned me down.
Going to drive my son for his hockey tournament this weekend from Chicago suburb to Indianapolis. Little worried. Couple factors,
this is my first state-crossing trip using my Y,
it is the coldest time in a year,
and there are not many SC in the route, especially in 65.
The last SC before...
My dashcam stick gives me a warning saying the stick is full. I wonder if I need to manually re-format the stick to free up the space or the car will automatically delete the old ones?
Short-term ownership certainly doesn't need to worry about long-term degradation.
I am not the guy who switch cars in such a short period. I owned my last one before Y 15 years. I loved that car and prepared to drive it for 3 more years before switching to Y. but the maintenance bill turned me...
Confirmed with my SA this is true, and my pickup was on Dec 12, the starting date of this promotion. Geeez! If my credit union did their job faster, I might be missed out on this!
