I have rented a utility trailer a few times now for hauling some trash and equipment. No problems at all with the MY. There is certainly an impact on range but not as crazy as with a large travel trailer. For what you're describing should be no problem at all.

That’s what I’m using. Different rack so check that it fits with your. The 90 degree angle fits
I have been using this one from Curt with my Model Y:

nice size, easily fits a large cooler plus a kid size bike and some other bags. I have also used it to transport all 4 wheels.
The sensors and cameras are definitely heated. Might be related to Sentry on/off. This is after a cold (not freezing) night parked outside with Sentry on.
I can only second Jacopa. Easy to install. Took me maybe 30min but only because I wanted it perfectly aligned. This isn’t 100% protection but it does cover the most impacted area. Unbeatable for the price compared to a professional installer.
I have the same issue. Which would be fine but now the app is regularly warning me that one of all windows are open. They are not open just slightly down. Very annoying.
Are you sure? I emailed aftermarketev and the response was: "The load rating on the 18” is not recommended for the Model Y. We recommend sticking with the 19x9.5 size wheel for this vehicle."
Portland is another idea but I wanted to avoid the out-of-state hassle. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I went ahead and had the delivery changed from Lynnwood to Bellevue. Saved me $266.45.
Lynnwood: 10.8%
Bellevue: 10.3%
Renton: 10.3%
Spokane: 9.1%
As far as I understand it, the sales tax rate is determined by the location of the dealership.
First observation: never take delivery in Lynnwood. 20 miles away in Bellevue you're saving 0.5%.
Second observation: you would save 1.2%...
