    St Augustine SC AMP fluxuation

Thanks guys. Brit, that sounds about like what she had... same as we get from our HPWC. I told her just to unplug and go to DAB or Ocala and get what she needs for the rest of the way home. Thanks again.

    St Augustine SC AMP fluxuation

Just so the thread police don't give me a citation, Im starting a thread to ask this question. My wife is returning from a trip and stopped at the St Augustine SC with 54miles of range left on our S85. It stopped charging after a few minutes. AMPS are fluctuating from 78 to 200 to 180 to...

Warning: Large pothole near Tampa Superchargers

Update on the tirerack rims. While they are 10spoke turbines they aren't exactly like oem. I guess I need a set of 4 spares as I can't run mismatched rims :scared: They did come with new lugnuts and a 21mm adapter to install them.

    Random Model S sightings

It might be more accepted in Co to park in multiple spots. The outback near us is always packed, parking in multiple spots would certainly upset someone, so I just drop the family off at the door and park in the back 40 away from any and everything . 17 people who got brilliantly...

Universal Studios Orlando Valet Parking just added two HPWCs

30 March 2015 2302 local time: The Valet at the Hilton Orlando lake Buena Vista got over 40MPH before I dropped my luggage and took this screenshot. He was having fun from what I could tell by the speed bursts. This was nowhere near the valet lot which is ~100yards from the front door, and...

Warning: Large pothole near Tampa Superchargers

Thats about $570 worth of ouch, if you don't fix the rim. Ask me how I know :crying: About a year ago Marlena at the Tampa SC told me they have a rim exchange program, (a repaired rim, then they have yours repaired and sell it to the next guy) I can't remember the price but it was less than...

Ordered a P85D, now thinking about losing my deposit and getting a CPO instead.

SO TRUE, We had a couple that we've been friends with since high school pretty much stop talking to us. When confronted, "that car" came up a few times. They choose to not remember the time I lived in a hangar, showered with cold tap water through a garden hose, flew WWII vintage freighters 5...

    Alternative to 21" Turbines?

Thanks man, longtime no type :) in the selection on TR it asks about 85 and if they're staggered, mine is the old '13 so prob not the new versions. Thoughts?

    Alternative to 21" Turbines?

Since Tire Rack has been mentioned here a couple of times, has anyone had any issues with their TPMS not linking up to the Tesla? Any tips/tricks or do they just work? I want a couple of mounted/balanced on the shelf ready for spares as my wife had two incidents already (road FOD, not curbs)...

    Tesla moments

And before their first motorcycle in 1929, it was airplane engines... The BMW Roundels True History and Origin - YouTube Im with ya MHPR262, I rode a K100RS over 100k miles before selling it, and an R80Rt, Ducati 998. I guess I've never been in the mainstream of manufacturers of transportation.

Local Place - Refused to install tires...

I've experienced exactly what you described... some places are simply afraid of the car. I got a nail in a tire that had less than 1000 miles on it (tesla doesnt repair tires). A shop I've gone to since I was a kid said no problem. I showed them "Jack Mode" and where to jack it up, the...

    How to get to snowshoe?

Heading up there from Tampa next month for about a week, good on SCs until Glen Allen... Then what? We can spend the night in between Glen Allen and Snowshoe but it looks bad for being there (and getting out). I just don't see anything around there for charging. After 150mi thru mountains, in...

    FL Snowbird Teslas

You mean this one? We actually live in Palm Harbor but Im based in NJ. We are season pass holders to WDW so the Epcot charger is great for us because Palm Harbor-WDW-Palm Harbor at I-4 speed can get tight without charging. NJ charged 0% sales tax on EVs, no inspection, and the tag is good...

Florida MS150 Ponte Verde - Daytona - Ponte Verde

I am participating in the MS150... A 150+Mile 2-day bicycle ride. Are there any other Tesla owners riding this year? I plan to use the Port Orange and St Augustine SCs, arriving Friday and heading back to Tampa on Sunday. I'd love to meet with up other owners. Stephen

    bicycle transport

Aaron, I know you've had your hitch for a while, what kind of range hit are you seeing? Im 80/20 for the hitch vs racks, I have a Thule bike box for air travel which also would strap down to racks (thats why racks get 20%). Thanks

How many speeding tickets since getting your Model S?

Took my MS85 in for a few punch list items, they gave me a P85 as a loaner. On my return trip home, ~30miles, the following happened... Cresting an overpass of a limited access, 8 lane divided highway, I entered the revenue enhancing "45mph zone"... cruising at 63mph (and being passed by...

Palm Harbor Car Show for Breast Cancer May 3rd

First and foremost, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife for a full and speedy recovery. One of the main sponsors was Day's Collision. A body shop my parents owned from '72 - '98 then sold to my dad's niece who is in the middle of her chemo treatments. It was a fun time even...

Palm Harbor Car Show for Breast Cancer May 3rd

Rained off/on the better part if the day. I think they said nearly 100 cars showed up including A corvette club ~14 cars, a camaro club ~10 cars, mustang club ~10 cars and ~10 monster trucks and with all those American made cars/trucks my Tesla took "Best in Show Domestic". Fellow Tesla owners, I need to appeal to your good nature and Tesla-enthusiasm... On March 26 or 27 we will be traveling to FSU from the Clearwater area to visit the campus for our oldest daughter (LAWSTEVE this is for you ;^). Public chargers in the capitol area are pretty sparse, and none...

Thank you retinadoc (and all the other responders). My wife and I were talking today if we had been 1-2 seconds earlier to the scene the projectile would have come right through her window, that was rolled down, and hit her square in the head. LIFE ALTERING. Extremely thankful, Steve

Does your Model S fit in your garage?

I put in these, and this was installed when we had the Tahoe, both aid in parking. I line the nose up with the Tesla art & sign. The Leaf got booted out of the garage to the driveway when the Tesla arrived, so the Tesla only has to share the garage with the golf cart.

I now hate roadside mowing crews!

Driving on a busy 8 lane divided highway yesterday, windows down, pano open, just a great day with my wife when I look over briefly and see lawn maintenance crews on working the roadside. Unfortunately, we don't get as much time or freedom to greet the customers as we used to. However, a little ways into a ~12-13hr flight he noticed something that needed to be brought to our attention. He handed a sheet of paper with his finding as well as a few of his accomplishments...

I recently had the pleasure of having Mark on one of my flights. Spent ~45 mins talking with him about MM and other topics. Great guy with incredible visions/goals/projects. He was kind enough to bring the techno-speak of many topics down to a level a pilot could understand . After...

    Tesla Garage art / surveillance

Not really, my wife is a stay at home mom, my daughter drives a leaf and the tesla scares her. Unfortunate incident with my P85+ last night

I believe there is a "special place" for those who break the commandments in a place of worship. Your restraint in this matter is extremely commendable.
