The Torrance CA Tesla SC has confirmed that most older MSs do not have manually folding mirrors and that they are not stuck. Such can upgrade to the manually folding or for more money to the auto folding.

Don't all these clear bra films have a 5 year lifespan at best? This means that one has to be prepared to have it removed after its lifespan and a new one applied? What about some discussion of this aspect?

I just had power mirrors retrofitted on my MS. Yes they do fold out when the car is started & fold in when they car turns off. It's that simple! Your mirrors are also heated. Older models came with unheated mirrors that could not even be folded manually. Rick

The earlier ones came with mirrors that cannot be folded. Two of my friends have them. The ones I am selling can be used to replace the non folding mirrors. So they are not just replacements for damaged folding mirrors. You can check with the Torrance Service Center that changed mine. Rick
