MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

That might be it, because the last time I took the readings it was still connected to my AC charger. Will do next time I charge to 100% UI

Yes, you're 100% correct! I just took a few pics and it is indeed the CB 1104423-00-T (didn't get is sharp in one pic, so attached is a combined set) What remains is to keep an eye on the pack and see if any of the 8% locked capacity is released by Tesla over time/fw updates. Just to double...

I get the impression it makes a difference on the reported data in SMT if the car is turned on by hitting the brake and if it's in gear or not. Looks like not all data starts flowing over the can bus when you get in but don't hit the brake to turn the car on and even more starts coming/gets...

Cool, 1104423-00-T is the same number as on the final invoice I received after the work was completed. I’ll get under the car tomorrow and take a pic of the sticker to complete the identification!

Thanks, although with @AlanSubie4Life 's remark on how degradation is dealt with I'm not sure what the benefit is of this pack over my 'old' 77.8 pack. Is there a benefit? Or maybe a future benefit when they figure out how to better utilise the cells at lower SOC and low temps? Below the...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

The results are in on the new battery pack - it looks to be the T; I picked the car (LR 2021 built Nov '20) up this morning and have driven nearly 400km since with 2 supercharging stops (v2 and v3). A the service center, it was hooked up to a SuC, so I preheated it and set the charge level...

Quick update as my car is getting the battery swap tomorrow; The part number has been updated. No longer the Reman part no I was told before, but they'll be installing this part no: 1104423-00-T. So the T version instead of the P I have now in my LR. Is the T the 81/82kWh one in the...

Thanks @FredMt! I've since received the part no./Ref. Style of the replacement HV battery from Tesla: 1137377-01-M Based on your info, since it starts with 11 this could/should mean a Pana battery. I can only find out for sure once it's installed... Tesla is refusing to upgrade it to a new...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Looking for the Reman part number for Model 3 2021 HV pana 77,8 LR battery. My M3 2021 LR is getting a new (not new, but remanufactured 'reman') HV battery this Friday because of a faulty temp sensor in the pack (background: there are 4 sensors in the pack, 1 of them started reporting temps of...

    Where is 2021.4? [2021.4.x Release]

Yes, sadly nothing there about the steering wheel.

I’m out of my depth here in terms of versions, clearly! So it’s not sure it’s an E3D just because of the battery? I thought it would be. And if it is an E3D, has Tesla ever changed their COC paperwork afterwards at a customers request that we know?

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Quick update; Tesla supplied me with the Certificate of Conformity and it states the car is an E5D. The VIN is correct in the app, will need to check in the car itself later. So it’s not the government agency website that has it wrong, it’s Tesla. They state the CoC is correct and it’s an E5D...

    Where is 2021.4? [2021.4.x Release]

Just updated M3 2021 (Nov 2020 build) here in NL to 2021.4.3, but no heated steering wheel activated unfortunately. Didn’t have it in earlier software versions, but since I have the new steering wheel I had good hopes it would activate at some point in the future. Not yet the case.

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

I hope so, but I’m not too sure. At the same insurance company on the same day I signed up with them there was another m3 driver with an error of the value of his car stated by RDW (official agency), just like mine. Can’t say anything about his battery obviously, but still I doubt my car is a...

@AAKEE @FredMt (and @AlanSubie4Life based on your likes) Thanks for confirming! I've learnt a lot about batteries the last 24hrs :) Interesting that it's listed as E5D at the authorities here in NL, I might ask them to change that to reflect the correct pack. It could turn out to be of value...

Ok, got it: Part no: 1104423-00-P Without having the knowledge about battery pn's or access to the parts catalog, the 'Made in USA' and P at the end indicate to me the Pana pack. Correct? Interested to know if this is a different revision than the non capped ones?

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

We don't get a Certificate of Conformity in the Netherlands, just the ability to look up the car in the database of the RDW 'transport agency' - that's the official registry so about as close to a certificate as we can get in NL. They take the data Tesla supplies them with at registration of the...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Yes, they're hiding more to put it in line with the range of the LG so customers don't notice a range difference between two seemingly identical 2021 LR's. Tesla has a pretty small buffer of 3.5kWh normally, now it's about twice that for the soft locked Pana. Remember a Leaf 62kWh has about...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Ok, so it can be 1 of 3 batteries and is likely the soft locked Pana. Once I have the pic of the battery label it should be confirmed.

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Clear @AlanSubie4Life and @AAKEE, thanks for your input. I’ll go label hunting to find out for sure and report back when I’ve been able to take a decent pic of the battery label. I’ve seen the post on how to do it. If the E5D or E3D code should be on a label elsewhere on the car too, please...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Thanks, that’s what I thought too. Any other views for the experts here? Since it’s labeled E5D while it looks to have a E3D battery, do you or others know if this has happened before? If it’s indeed an pana battery, I take it as a positive over the LG battery as I’ll have less degradation to...

First post here, new owner of a 2021 LR AWD in the Netherlands, delivered 29 Dec 2020. Learned a lot about which battery my car might have reading this very interesting thread (for hours) last night, but can use your help figuring out for sure. On paper, I have the E5D as shown on the site of...
