No, they did not elaborate on how it came to be in such bad shape. They did however mention that the new pump was a redesigned one. So for what it's worth it seems that part will do better his time around.

Thanks asterothe. I probably should have noted previously, I am using FSD Beta v11.4.7.2 and currently have version 2023.27.6. If and when I get the next update let's hope it brings back my intermittent wipers.

The latest software update I received last week did not resolve this issue. I plan on waiting for one more software update, and if it isn’t fixed after that update, I will make another service appointment.

The title of this post was supposed to address the year, but you are correct. So I'll try to narrow it down little more. August 2017 or later - That keeps the price down and should ensure I get folding middle row, AND at least AP 2.5. AP 2.5 - August 2017 or later should take care of this...
