FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

looking at Fi, it looks like S/3/X/Y are receiving this. Not sure which specific years/trims yet though, i guess we'll find out throughout the day
  2. fcastrillo86

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

saw some recent video of a S/X driver using scroll wheels to select and confirm the parking spot
  3. fcastrillo86

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

not sure if someone mentioned this but i also saw on Fi that 2024.8.13 is also pending, and it's only model S and X. not sure if legacy though, won't know until the installs finish anyway
  4. fcastrillo86

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I've had this happen to me recently too, even on 12.2.1. Not sure how to feel about it, because it's been a blessing and a curse, i.e. the car tries to get to the nav pinpoint no matter what. I've had the parking lot thing happen recently, but I've also had it work out just fine to where I'm...

Poll: When will FSD V12 be in wide release?

to piggyback off of this, legacy S/X customers haven't received this as far as i know, at least not based on data from TeslaFi and Teslascope

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

i haven't tried setting larger offset percentages for city streets driving yet to try and address the granny driving. What I have tried is instead using the scroll wheel to bump up my speed from the 12% offset, (i.e. 40mph posted speed limit > 13% overage = 45mph set speed, then scroll wheel...
  7. fcastrillo86

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

i did try out Auto Speed Offset for a few days, but for the routes i drive, it's just too slow. it'll pace surrounding cars just fine, but once i catch an empty stretch of road, the car will hover closer to speed limit, then ramp up as other cars catch up and/or overtake. I find that even using...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I get the sense they were trying to use v12's new autopark-like behavior at the end of a nav route and they probably misjudged bumper distance until it was too late to intervene. for what it's worth, I have not been able to get the actual Autopark function to work on v12. The "P" logo normally...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I would've also preferred FSD to yield in this case, unless the gap was big enough to not feel like the FSD car was cutting off the oncoming car turning left. More of a comfort thing IMO than right of way. Would rather be honked at from behind waiting for a gap instead of getting into a shouting...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

how am i just seeing this LOL. Yes that is me, i really don't know how I won the v12 jackpot but I hope it goes out to testers soon! Really my biggest annoyance (and sounds like other v12 testers too) is the car's tendency to be a granny and take longer to reach my speed overage setpoint, let...

    MCU2 recently upgraded, and 2023.44.30.6

the software tracker portion is free to use, but like @MP3Mike mentioned it's a paid website. Similar to TeslaScope. Either one is great to keep an eye on to track new software releases and gauge how widely it's rolling out
  12. fcastrillo86

    MCU2 recently upgraded, and 2023.44.30.6

Oops, i also typo'd, i am in a 2016, not '17. I may try out that test as well, figure it wouldn't hurt anything at this point. All fingers point to a buggy software update though, based on how many people are suddenly experiencing similar issues. Notably, according to TeslaFi, 2023.44.30.8 is...

    MCU2 recently upgraded, and 2023.44.30.6

Not to thread jack, but i just ran into this issue this morning with TACC/AP/FSD not wanting to engage. Actually got FSD to turn on this morning first, but noticed it wasn't steering away from the sidewalk so i took over. Couldn't re-engage anything afterwards, and the road markings and lane...

    FSD Beta v11.x

LOL. actually i was asking about software branch. the way it's been going, seems safe to assume this is on 2023.27.x, but would be pleasantly surprised if we got moved to a higher branch.

any word what software version 11.4.8 is included in?

2023.32.7 OTA Update, how do you like it?

Does anyone have FSD beta access on this release? I have a buddy with this version installed who wants to try a 1 month FSD sub, but I haven't seen anything about FSD Beta on this release. Looks like the prior release (2023.32.6) had FSD Beta v11.4.4
  17. fcastrillo86

    FSD Beta v11.x

Just generalizing, the FSD builds seem to be behind about 2-4 months. They were briefly synced up when the holiday update came out (2022.44.x), but then production builds moved ahead while most of us with FSD Beta are stuck at 2022.45.x

    FSD Beta 5-strike strike-out auto-reset after 2 weeks

Never seen this in action. Did you get a popup notifying you your FSD access was back? Or was the toggle merely available again?

Care to do an APKmirror upload for impatient folks like me? Lol

    FSD Beta v11.x

good catch! curious if this will start rolling out soon. I believe I'm still on the 2022.28 map package.
  22. fcastrillo86

    FSD Beta v11.x

You're thinking of AI Addict. Easy to confuse though since both are in the Bay Area and similarly named.

    Done with Teslas

haven't done this myself in a while, but IIRC the car allows volume control wheel to dismiss the wheel nag most times, but will still want actual wheel torque every few nags anyways

FSD Beta for legacy Model S/X with MCU1 (2022.8.10.8)

That is frustrating, but I suspect he's telling the truth regarding Service's inability to request the FSD Beta software for your car. Seeing how little MCU1 cars actually received 2022.8.10.10 (currently 11 on TeslaFi), it really does seem like MCU1/Tegra FSD Beta is in some sort of weird test...
  25. fcastrillo86

FSD Beta for legacy Model S/X with MCU1 (2022.8.10.8)

I actually did try having Service address the "Enhanced Autopilot" package mislabel, and they basically said "engineering will look into it, your car is OK to drive though." This was before I even had Beta though (may have even been prior to the request button appearing). For what it's worth...

FSD Beta for legacy Model S/X with MCU1 (2022.8.10.8)

Seems to be a glitch with the equipped Autopilot package showing the wrong feature set. I bought mine from Tesla inventory with the FSD feature included/active back in December 2020, and got Beta in June 2022. Through reboots, upgrades, MCU1 to MCU2, etc. my screen still says "Enhanced...

Is any MCU1 car actually on FSD Beta yet?

Yes, the MCU1 cars got FSD Beta version 10.69.3.3 via the 2022.8.10.10 update. Happened around the new year. Here was the first one: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/fsd%E2%80%99s-earliest-adopters-still-waiting.243556/page-240#post-7303764 Seen a bunch of videos on Twitter too (can't...

Full Self-Driving (Beta) toggle is now in wide release as production vehicle software including MCU1

I was part of the old Safety Score batch (got beta in June 2022), and now my Early Access designation is gone from the release notes header (as of 2022.44.30.5). My video snapshot button disappeared around Thanksgiving i think.

Anyone else have persistent cabin camera issues with 10.69.3.1 at night?

I have also had issues ever since joining beta back in June 2022. I even get kicked out of good old highway Autopilot for the same errors. My workaround has been to switch to a user profile that has FSD Beta toggled off, but i worry this workaround will disappear once legacy Highway AP/NOA is...

Update on AP Camera Update for Older S/X Vehicles

I got an email i believe first week of December. My Tesla app also had a message alerting me to my eligibility for the camera upgrade, but i didn't get a notification for it. I had fired up my app to schedule the appointment (based on the email), and noticed my profile pic had a dot indicating...

Advice for new FSD Beta drivers?

How sensitive is driver monitoring (interior camera and wheel nag) versus the production version of Autopilot? I've probably had one forced AP disengagement in the 9 months since hitting the request button.

Guide To A Perfect Safety Score for the FSD Beta Queue, or Tesla Insurance reasons. (Whether you like it or not)

Great write up! Just wanted to mention though that I'm able to use TACC with zero effect on the hard braking metric, and when I use it, TACC brakes much harder than I normally would. Also, I haven't been dinged for aggressive turning while in TACC, but I haven't done much with this yet.

    2022.12 looks promising!

Would love for them to carry over the gauge cluster interface from the refresh S/X to the legacy cars, specifically the big speedometer reading on the right side of the screen vs. the old top-center small readout. They'll probably keep this as a "feature" for the newer S/X though.

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

I'm personally holding out hope that FSD goes wide release this year, whether it be in true beta form like it is currently, or maybe similar to how some AP features like Autosteer or Navigate on Autopilot are flagged as beta features. I get that the goalposts for FSD has continued to move...

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

I can't open YT at work, but check the part of the presentation where he briefly talks about FSD. He asks the crowd if anyone has used the FSD beta, hypes up the 10x safer than human driver, etc., then says something to the effect of "we will go wide with FSD Beta for cars with FSD in North...

Not sure how accurate this is, or if my memory serves correctly, but i swear I saw a post/tweet from @verygreen or @greentheonly (twitter) where he mentioned that Tesla is only collecting training data now from RCCB cars, and that RCCC cars were no longer uploading anything for training of the...

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

I should clarify from my last post that you absolutely need to be aware of your surroundings when engaging and using AP. If AP is accelerating too much to where it might brake check itself for approaching another car too fast, lane merges with nearby cars, etc., then I will always take over...

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Definitely this. Sometimes I'll notice I get dinged for 60% unsafe following during my commute where I'm sure I was using AP, but in all cases, it was always because I spent any amount of time within an unsafe distance of the lead car prior to me activating AP. Usually happens to me during...

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Elon has started hyping big improvements to unprotected left turns in beta 10.12. Now that I'm on 2022.8.3, I've lost hope of getting into current beta 10.11.2. I hope beta 10.12 is based off of a 2022.8.3 or later branch so that us production build peasants have a shot at getting into the beta!

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

I would love to know as well, but I'm afraid to test lol. If it works, it's also worth noting that there's a 3 seconds of dead time after disengaging AP/TACC where the safety score metrics aren't counted.
  44. fcastrillo86

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Interesting indeed! I took a quick drive down our hill. As I approached the stop sign at the bottom of my hill, I went 5mph faster than normal and engaged TACC later than usual. Didn't get dinged for hard braking. This has worked for me since last November, software 2021.36.5.1 thru current...

There are owners here with cars that were HW2 from the factory, got all necessary upgrades (MCU2 + FSD computer + cameras) and are currently testing FSD Beta. But it's been over 3 months now without any new testers being added though.
  46. fcastrillo86

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Both TACC and AP have the same effect on my Hard Braking metric for the Safety Score, i.e. zero dings from using either one to brake/stop. I've been doing both TACC and AP assisted stops since November, and it's been a big part of how I manage to keep a 99+ score to date.

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Regular old TACC works as well! It's what I've done for last second yellow lights :) Useful if you're approaching a stoplight/sign and the lane lines aren't defined well enough for full AP to engage
