Should LFP batteries be charged to 100%?

Mine (from Dec 2020), showed 418km (~259-260 miles) for months ... and since I've been on 2021.24.x, it's been slightly decreasing (lost a few km/miles).

    Tow hitch availability?

I don't believe that it has anything to do with the factory ... in other european countries, the towbar was removed from the configurator for all models even though LHD LR models are still coming from Fremont.

    2021 Shipping Movements

Apparently some French future owners are now being told by their Tesla Advisors that the LHD SR+ to be delivered in May/June are coming from Shanghai (like the batch of 7000-8000 LHD SR+ that were delivered in Dec 2020).

Model 3 Made in Shanghai with LFP battery pack

Nope, I don't think so. The LG Chem battery is a NCM/NCA battery like the Panasonic ones so it is better to only charge over 80-90% when you plan to do a long trip.

LFP battery, charge to 100% each night?

The car prompted you to charge at lower than 100% ? Which software version are you on ? I have a Dec 20 MIC with LFP battery and been charging at 100% for the last couple of months and never got this pop-up message.

Does the MIC (made in China) SR+ have a heat pump?

    The 2021 model does.

Made in China Model 3: Build Quality / Hardware Differences

As far as I know, all RHD models to be delivered in UK&I should now come from Shanghai hence have a VIN starting with LRW.

Made in China Model 3: Build Quality / Hardware Differences

E is for the NMC battery (same as before) which is expected on LR.

Made in China Model 3: Build Quality / Hardware Differences

Just a small correction. E5D battery packs made of LG Chem cells are NMC not LFP. The battery pack of SR+ are not E5D ... those are made with LFP prismatic cells from CATL.

Made in China Model 3: Build Quality / Hardware Differences

I have a "F" in the 7th position of my VIN ... 2020 SR+ MIC with LFP battery. This matches what is described on this site: Tesla vehicle VIN number Decoder

Model 3 Made in Shanghai with LFP battery pack

LFP battery (CATL) is definitely for SR+ only. Your LR "Made in China" should come with LG Chem battery pack.

    2021 Shipping Movements

Which models would Toronto be carrying to Europe? I believe that they only Tesla MIC currently exported to Europe are the RHD TM3's right? So wouldn't make sense to send them to Zeerbugge, correct? I believe that there was no plan to export any more LHD TM3 or any TMY to Europe from Shanghai.

Wiki UK 2021 Orders and Pending Deliveries

For those who have ordered a SR+ in the UK, what would be the 7th position of your VIN ? If F, it would indicate a LFP battery which is surprising since the Tesla UK configurator still mentions 1625kg weight.

Model 3 SR+ Made In China met LFP accu

Do we know how the cooling/heating system of the LFP prismatic battery pack is made? I believe that I read somewhere that it was done from below the cells ... maybe driving at (somehow) high speed is counterproductive for the battery heating in cold temperatures because of the air cooling down...

How could you tell that the battery was sufficiently warmed up for supercharge?

    2020.48.30.1...Part Two?

Btw, I had a strange thing with that 30.1 release. I have a SR+ MIC (LFP battery) and was running 48.26. This morning, the car advised me to connect to Wifi to download 48.30.1 ... and it did download that code but didn't offer me to install it. Then a few minutes later, the car told me about...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

There's a new SW update (2020.48.30.1) being rolled out .... and apparently, only SR+ models with China VIN are receiving it at the moment. Hopefully, this SW will include some fixes to those issues.

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Those are the 3 "well known" issues with the LFP battery in the cold, unfortunately ... the story came out in the news in early December, reports from China, just before the first ship with Shanghai made TM3 SR+ arrived in Europe and, since then, owners from different European countries...
