Steering Creak after Control arm replacement

That would be funny if this was the fix. I didn’t think of it but will give it a shot!

Steering Creak after Control arm replacement

It creaks when it is stationary and in park. I ended up speaking for Tesla service and they think its the lower link. They found that lubrication doesn't fix the problem as the bushings are probably worn. Probably the route I am going to go

Steering Creak after Control arm replacement

I experienced a creak while steering a couple of weeks ago when the cold hit us. I assumed it was the upper control arms and since I never had them replaced, and I have a 2018, I figured it was time to replace them.. I ordered some Meyle HD Control arms and replaced them last night without much...

New charging station coming to Chamberlain, SD

I was able to find this on PlugShare. I remember reading about this earlier in the year. My energy provider, West River Electric, is also participating in this program. They held meetings a couple months ago asking for the publics info on locations. I bet they just mirror Tesla chargers. This...

New charging station coming to Chamberlain, SD

Thats interesting! There is already a good amount of charging stations in Oacoma just across the river. I will be driving through the area this weekend, I'll check it out! Edit: I just realized this is probably an Electrify America station and not a Tesla supercharging station. This is...

255/45R20 Tires on the 20" Inductions?

We have inductions on our Model Y. No issues whatsoever with the this tire/rim combo.

255/45R20 Tires on the 20" Inductions?

I also went with a 255/45/20 tire. We are MUCH happier with ride comfort vs OEM tires. There's some rim protection just because of the higher sidewall but like the previous poster said, the tire is not any wider so you can still scratch them. I'm sure there was a little bit of a range hit with...

    Huge supercharger price increase

My issue is that within a years time we went from .24/min to .88/min while electrify America is still at .35/min (even cheaper with their pass). Increases are fine, all that is expected. This is a massive increase! No mention from Elon as to why, we just have to speculate. Luckily we now have a...

California Supercharging cost goes up by 20%

Thank you!! I told the wife and she agree's that we need to get one. Her 2020 Model Y has the CCs chip installed but my 2018 Model 3 does not. Has anyone had the CCS chip installed on their older Tesla in order to take advantage of this?

    Huge supercharger price increase

What used to cost ~.24KWh is now almost a dollar in my area. We have cheap power in this part of the country. A price increase is okay, but we have had several in the last year. I'm grateful I do not have to supercharge daily!

California Supercharging cost goes up by 20%

Superchargers used to cost even less than this but it wasn’t long ago 0.24/min was the normal price. I always thought charging per Kw/h was way more expensive than per minute.

California Supercharging cost goes up by 20%

Gillette was probably around 5pm and Spearfish around 6-630pm. These prices are an increases to a previous increase. I was in Gillette in January and April 3rd and charging was at 0.78/min. Wyoming and South Dakota’s electric rates are not out of the ordinary.

California Supercharging cost goes up by 20%

I also travel to Colorado but the point is that I would like another option if Tesla is going to continue to raise the prices. I remember the good days when a trip from Rapid City to Fort Collins and back cost me ~$20...

California Supercharging cost goes up by 20%

This is incorrect. I live in rural American and travel through South Dakota and Wyoming frequently. What used to cost .28/min is now now nearly a 1.00/minute. I cannot wait for a CCS adaptor as Electrify America only costs .35/minute. The costs from Tesla at super chargers is outrageous.

Upsell my M3 AWD and replace with a M3P?

This chart is making me want a Performance over a LR AWD w/ Boost lol... To the OP, I would say if you want it then go for it. You will be happy with the new vehicle.

    New owner road trip thoughts

Great trip! I live in Rapid City, SD and enjoy the trip. My least favorite charger is in Lusk, WY as its a little slow and is a common stop along this route. All 4 charging stations were full on my last trip!

    New Supercharger pricing

Haha yes that is technically correct.

    New Supercharger pricing

I find it hilarious some are defending this price increase. One of the main selling points and appeals of a Tesla was to cut the cost of travel when going long distances. If you go to the supercharging page on the Tesla website it says, “The goal of the Supercharger network is to enable freedom...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

2018 M3 LR here. I am also at 275 when at 100% SOC. While im a little disappointed when looking at the range my real world usage has been fantastic. I have taken 2 road trips the past couple of months and have had a great time. I have had STATS App since I bought the vehicle (used) and had one...

255/45R20 Tires on the 20" Inductions?

Had a set of 255/45R20 Vredestein tires. Coming from the old set our ride quality is more comfortable overall and i’m 100% happy with going with a slightly larger sidewall. Before the switch, we could feel every part of the road. These tires are also quieter. Tire pressure is at 42PSI

255/45R20 Tires on the 20" Inductions?

255/45R20 Tires on the 20" Inductions?

That is great news! I ordered the exact tires and size today from TireRack and will have them installed next Thursday. Here’s to less curb rash and softer ride!

255/45R20 Tires on the 20" Inductions?

40 vs 45 Sidewalls I plugged in the numbers in the calculator above. You'll notice there is 1" difference in height between a 40 & 45 sidewall. Wondering if you could just tell the vehicle that you have 21" Uberturbine wheels to compensate. Hoping this would make the speedometer more accurate.

255/45R20 Tires on the 20" Inductions?

Would be interested hearing more about everyones experience with 255/45 tires. I just ordered a set off TireRack based of this thread! How are they so far?

My Experience with purchasing a CPO Model 3 from Tesla

I made a profile just to respond on this thread. So hello everyone! My experience is very similar to the OP's. While I was a little annoyed that Tesla stopped shipping used vehicles (I live over 300 miles from a delivery center) a one way flight wasn't all that expensive. I was also nervous...
