How to best sell down when retired - and options are not possible

Thank you, MABMAB for that very helpful answer! I'm far from Elon's investment account. But I sleep well with using some margin. For now I limit myself to a single digit percentage of my net worth. Just checked - it's 1.45% today. When the share price rise I will follow good advice and build...

How to best sell down when retired - and options are not possible

I understand many can profit from options. But those are not available in my investment account. So that is the reason for me creating this thread. And even if they were available it sounds too much like work for my retired brain. :D

Yes I'm not very chatty most of the time. And it might be days between each visit. Occasionally weeks even. But others might benefit from your thoughts too - so please write your reply if you like.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Thank you all - and anyone I might have missed (so many posts...)! After trying out Nasdaq, Yahoo, CNBC, Marketwatch and Google Finance I ended up with Yahoo. Since none of the others show the running price in the browser tab. For some weird reason Yahoo do not update the price in premarket...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I have been using old.nasdaq.com/symbol/tsla/real-time to get my daily updates on the share price for TSLA. But today this page is redirected to www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/tsla/real-time The problem with that is that the browser tab title stopped displaying the share price. A first...

How to best sell down when retired - and options are not possible

I just looked. With over 90% TSLA i my account I can borrow 35%. If I had been more diversified the limit would have been 50% of my TSLA value. I plan to use max 4-5% of my total each year so it looks like I have plenty of security margins here.

How to best sell down when retired - and options are not possible

Or maybe a credit limit at my broker can be used in these situations? I plan to get one approved. I just haven't decided how much I should get. Definitely less than 50% - perhaps 20% could be reasonable?

How to best sell down when retired - and options are not possible

This is probably helpful for others. But for me learning about options sounds like too much work. And that is what I retired to avoid doing! :p And if you want to know more about options in retirement then look here Early retirement strategies But I want to find other ways of financing my...

Why the obsession with deleting chrome?

While I love the chrome on my Tesla I saw a black Model 3 with no chrome and black rims and it was very good looking. I would definitely be OK driving around in that one. But I won't trade in mine for one. Now that is a decent idea!

How to best sell down when retired - and options are not possible

Hi! Like others here the recent gains have brought me to the fortunate situation that I'll start living off my investments. Incredible to be here so soon! Thank you Tesla, Elon and TMC forums! On my investment account I cannot use options. So please don't suggest that. I have a Nordnet Zero...

    Boring Company Investor's Thread

This could be handled differently on various projects. Tesla could own the system. Or some other transport company. Or perhaps municipal owners. And the owners could run it. Or get fees from another company running the system. Tesla could do this part too.

Middle aged lady chirping in. I have slept while charging at destination chargers outside malls. This in various countriesin Europe. Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I hope that a Chinese made smaller Tesla would be sold in Europe too. I'd love one for myself! Or will China make a tiny Tesla and leave the somewhat larger hot hatch to Germany? Ps! I'm a long time lurker finally with an account. This thread has been very helpful in me reaching FIRE status...

Why the obsession with deleting chrome?

My user name is from my car with silvery chrome on a grey car. Love it! And besides my hair is getting silvery. I understand the complexities of production will stop Tesla from offering both options but I thing chrome looks the best. Perhaps you chrome deleters will warm up to chrome...
