Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Haha this reminds me of a post back on Dec 28, 2022: That was back when TSLA was around $125 a share. So I posted this: Since the stock is about 40% higher now than it was then, why would I sell now?? HODL

Are others seeing this? There is still so much ignorance when it comes to Tesla. Two people I know, but barely interact with, reached out to me separately yesterday and this morning, specifically to make sure I’d heard about my car being recalled. One even owns a Tesla! Presumably they were...

Hearing they had a Cybertruck on display at our local Charlotte Showroom, I felt the need to perform due diligence as a Tesla owner and investor, and checked it out ;). This is off the beaten path so zero street traffic, but there were about 2-3 dozen people there with a steady stream in and...

I wonder if Elon is pushing the lower >125K cap on Cybertruck production because it will never be profitable. Because maybe when he says it’s really hard to build he means it’s really expensive to build? And he’s not willing to raise the prices substantially because he's pledged to make...

Yep I agree it looks sped up. I tried watching the video at 0.75, 0.5, and 0.25 speed, and watched the movement of the blocks. The 0.5 speed looked normal to me, especially at the 0:24 mark where the block tumbles most life-like. Interestingly, they slowed the frame rate way down, to maybe 15...

    v11.4.7 (2023.7.30) auto-wipers seem drastically worse

Looking at these trend lines further, which by the way are all the same slope, the rate of increase is almost exactly $175/yr. With 252 trading days a year, that means, you guessed it, $0.69 per day.

Also interesting - there appears to be one charger specifically designed for non-Teslas with the charging port on the front left (Ford, Rivian, etc) - to allow them to pull in head-first and not require an extra long cable to reach. Future proofing once NACS is in wider use.

Looks like we're pretty much done. Fencing is gone, striping is done, tiny bit of cleaning up to do. I tried charging but no power and not showing on the Tesla app, but that could change literally any day now.

I'm also in the 2013 club and the 90% charged club. I charged my 2013 P85+ to 90% daily and when I sold it 5 years later it was only 3% down. The battery management system does the heavy lifting.

This made me look at my first TSLA purchase in 2013 purchase also, but ‘only’ 3,000% increase! Which brings up an important point - the SP had already more than doubled that year, yet it wasn’t “too late” to invest. A decade later both investments look pretty darn good. So don’t worry so...
