Just reserved a M3 from Hertz

Oh yeah and on the way back we were playing around in the settings and put the car into valet mode not knowing that it was basically a self destruct button that you can’t undo. So for the rest of the trip we couldn’t use navigation or go over 70mph which wasn’t a big deal because I rarely drive...

Just reserved a M3 from Hertz

I rented a model 3 standard range from Atlanta airport Friday night, returned last night. First time driving a Tesla. First off it cost about $200 ($125 base price $20 airport fee $40 insurance $15 taxes) Hertz was super cool, demonstrated all of the features to us, answered all questions we...

How many will look into the F-150 Lightning?

Get your dealer to agree to the price in writing ahead of time, but Ford is definitely making a concerted effort to crack down on those kinds of dealer shenanigans, and most dealers don’t attempt to markup customer orders.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Hey does anyone know where an up to date tracker for how many cars each manufacturer has sold that counts towards the 200,000 EV tax credit phaseout? The most recent data I can find is through June 2020 which is not particularly helpful. My understanding is Toyota is going to hit the 200k mark...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Was in Atlanta yesterday so stopped by the Tesla store there. There was a green model S plaid with a destroyed front right tire. Curious what the story there was if it happened to belong to any of you

Mary Barra has to be the worst CEO of any automaker. Let’s review her accomplishments over the past 3 years. 1. Causing the longest UAW strike in 50 years 2. Doing zero due diligence in forming a partnership with Nikola a company who’s entire business was just a lie and fraud. 3. Refusing to...

When Tesla reports earnings per share did the share count already include the unexercised options since they were fully vested or do those only count as outstanding shares once they’ve been exercised?

Ford will almost certainly make more than 15,000 in 2022. They keep raising production capacity, and they know they have a huge hit in their hands. Regardless Cybertruck sales will be 0 in 2022 so I don’t think we should bash Ford too much

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

It’s becoming more and more clear that Ford and Tesla are really the only two legitimate players in the EV arena. GM will probably survive. Ford needs to sell its Rivian stake ASAP. Rivian is going to zero

The special items isn’t included in the automotive profit. It clearly lists it as a separate item and even has a little footnote so there can be no confusion. Ford made $5.7B in automotive profit. Lost $637M working on their mobility division, made $3.66B from Ford credit (which is absolutely a...
