This car needs a Sport mode

I agree. Although I love the way my car drives overall, having a quick way to make it a bit more playful would be welcome.

What wheel brands are accurate with their listed wheel weights?

Update. I ended up getting Enkei RPF1s 18X9.5 ET38. Weight on my bathroom scale was 17.8 pounds. Listed weight was 17.8 pounds. Very pleased with the weight and the fact that it matched the listed weight.

Tein coilovers coming and springs too!

MPP sports are high on my list of possibilities. Also considering Redwood/Ohlins performance sports. The Tein EDFC sounds interesting, so I am curious about the coilovers they will be putting out for the Model 3.

Tein coilovers coming and springs too!

Sounds interesting. Anyone else have experience with Tein? I am planning to get coilovers that will work well for street and autocross use (possibly track also) and am considering my options.

Poll: TACC vs. Normal Cruise Control

Thread resurrection. Cast my vote for option 2. TACC has worked fine for me on limited access highways overall. I do tend to turn it off in heavier traffic as the following distance is a bit long. For local roads I might prefer NCC and wish I had the option of using it.

The reason Tesla will overtake BMW

I agree. Long time E90 owner (still have one as a backup/bad weather car). None of BMW's offerings since have really excited me, hence my switch to Tesla. The model 3 performance is incredible as a performance/luxury car, particularly considering its price.

    Tire/wheel fitment questions

Looking for assistance from any tire/wheel fitment gurus. I've recently bought a Silver metallic P3D-. It is currently on the 18" Aero wheels with all seasons. I'm looking for my summer setup and I've been researching tires and wheels for quite a while and think I know what I want. I'm...

Would you pay $90-100K for a Plaid Model 3?

I would be interested in a higher performance model 3. Personally, while I would appreciate a quicker accelerating vehicle, I'd be more interested in a lighter more nimble vehicle that retains or slightly improves the acceleration. I'm hoping that EVs can go down this route as battery tech...

What wheel brands are accurate with their listed wheel weights?

I will list the two I got that were not accurate. One was a factory BMW wheel that I bought from another owner to use for my winter tires. My recollection was they were listed at 22lbs (for 17" wheels), but when I got them they weighed 27lbs. I assume this was just a mistake on BMWs part as...

What wheel brands are accurate with their listed wheel weights?

I am looking in to getting wheels for my summer tires. A big factor in my decision is the wheel weight. The last two times I've bought wheels I found the actual weight on my scale to be heavier (one time much heavier) than manufacturer listed weight. It seems this is quite common from what I...

Are there any mods that improve steering feel?

Agreed on the BMW comments. I've been a big fan for a while and kept hoping they would get back to making more enthusiast oriented sport sedans, but have been disappointed with each new generation released. Before getting my model 3, I noted that BMW is coming out with what is supposed to be a...

Concerns over Model 3 Performance brakes efficiency. How good is it? After market brakes?

I would guess the difference you felt is more tires than brakes. The long range probably had grand touring all season tires on it (if the tire fitment in Thailand is similar to ours). I assume you have performance rubber on your other cars.

Are there any mods that improve steering feel?

The Model 3 may be pretty good as far as electric power steering goes, but it doesn't seem to communicate as much as my E90 (I still have it and am driving it on bad weather days). I haven't driven many other cars with electric power steering, but it seems Porsche is the only manufacturer I see...

Are there any mods that improve steering feel?

Yes, I do plan to switch to PS4S tires once it warms up and expect this to improve the feel. FYI, I am comparing the stock grand touring tires to my BMW on 225/45/17 winter tires, so I would guess the contribution of the tires to steering feel is pretty equivalent.

Are there any mods that improve steering feel?

Thanks for your responses. Do you guys have the bushings? How much difference do they make in steering feel? Any downsides to them?

Are there any mods that improve steering feel?

Hi all, I just picked up a 2018 silver metallic stealth performance model 3 on 18" wheels with all season tires about a week ago. I'm planning to use it as a sporty daily driver, though it's possible I might dabble in autocross if I have time (I've autocrossed several times before and had fun...
