    Model S sightings in Ontario

Is this thread still alive? Just wanted to report about 20 Teslas I've seen this morning while driving to get some milk.

Charging 2 Teslas in a sequence

It included the panel, but AFAIK the majority of the cost was related to work outside the house, including digging the tench, etc. In my city all cables are underground.

Charging 2 Teslas in a sequence

I was referring to upgrating my service from 100A to 200A. I was quoted $4.5K

Charging 2 Teslas in a sequence

Thanks this is very good to know! I didn't know that the new HPWCs support master-slave cascading. This helps a lot! I just got my old HPWC replaced and my second one is a "present" from the referral program, which I think should be a new model as well. So that's the route I'm going to take...

Charging 2 Teslas in a sequence

Apologies if this has been answered already; the forum search hasn't returned much. I currently have 1 HPWC at 40 amp. This is all I can do without a costly upgrade to my house and this is more than enough for the amount of commute we do, but sharing the plug is not very convenient. Now, I...

    International Centre delivery experiences

Appointment 2:45 yesterday. Arrived around 2:15 just in case. Got my car at around 9:30. 7+ hours wait was tough. Again, same MTO issue. Clearly MTO is a bottleneck. Why not send 2 people to two different locations to make the MTO process twice faster? Also the whole idea of copying the SC...

    Supercharger - Burlington, ON

    As of May 27th. Close!

How many amps are you going with for your Model 3 home charging circuit?

40amp is plenty. I have invested in hpwc and 80amp wiring thinking that I'll make it future-proof while keeping the old box and dialling down hpwc for now. Guess what, it's been 5 years and I never needed more. Now with Model 3 joining the family might need to add another 40 amp HPWC and upgrade...

    Naming your Tesla Model 3

My wife's car will be pearl white (if we ever get the delivery appointment!), so she called it "Khaleesi" :-)

They might have decided to reset all VINs and then manually enable ones that are within the time window.

    Any Canadian VIN assignments?

I wonder if anyone is still here with the VIN. Anyone? If the VINs disappeared for _everyone_ then it could be just software. Otherwise it could be re-shuffling of some sort. P.S. Adding stuff to shopping cart didn't restore my VIN. P.P.S. - even if it did, this wouldn't mean anything. The...

Wake up with VIN disappeared Room

After I discovered my VIN disappearance I did a quick interwebs search and found that the issue isn't new. It has happened in the past and generally hasn't affected delivery times.

Model 3 Canada - Confirmed Orders Only thread

The SC is the last bottleneck. How much time are you expecting to spend while examining your car, signing papers, etc? Say, 30 min to an hour. Let's say there are 5 delivery guys working 8 hours a day. So the SC may be able to release 40 to 80 cars per day (personally i think way less). There...

If you confirm your order before June then you are good. There was a thread on Ontario Owners Club Facebook page about that.

    Ontario Delivery Phone Call

All this drama OMG :-) :-) Reminds me how we felt in 2012-2013 with our first cars. Now it's like a well oiled machine in comparison. Just breathe and you'll get your car.

Model 3 Canada - Confirmed Orders Only thread

Just got a call from Tesla @ Lawrence. The car has been built and on its way to GTA among many others. They are hiring temp staff to handle "huge batches" of deliveries. Estimate: 1-2 weeks, could take up to 4 in the worst case scenario.

    Unplugged Performance Model S Refresh

The Boring Company. Sorry, but I don't think it'll work...

    > it might be a better idea to build some elevated highways. We have some elevated highways here in TO area. All they talk about is the enormous maintenance cost as it's exposed to the rains and snow 24/7/365.

    My Plasti Dip experiment

I don't think higher pearls concentration would result in a darker tone. I would probably use a darker base color or find a different pigment.

    My Plasti Dip experiment

They changed the website lately. All old links seem to be broken now. I found the one here https://www.kppigments.com/blue-interference-pearl-25.html although I ended up using the Baloon White Pearl like this one Balloon White Pearls Not sure about endless loop. all seems to be working for...

Anyone make the trip to "Jay Peak Resort"

I wrote them a letter last year and they basically said they don't care about EVs and they don't have any plans to accommodate EV owners. I replied that they just lost me as a customer.

    My Plasti Dip experiment

OK, I know what I'll be doing next year. How about everything Pearl White Color-shift that turns light blue-ish while the hood, roof and hatch are black? I've seen an ICE car another day with this combo. It looked super awesome! Not sure how Model S will do though. Oh well, the worst case...

Depending on whether you want to make it brighter or darker put 4 base coats of regular black or grey (3 gallons), then 2 coats of DYC DipPearl DYC DipPearl TopCoat Gallon mixed with one of the KP Pigments. From the picture above I get you want Carbon Blue Pearl (this one Carbon Blue Pearl )...

    My Plasti Dip experiment

No, it's more like a transparent rubber layer a.k.a "Glossifier". One can regulate the gloss level by putting one or many coats of glossifier. In terms of keeping the surface clean - it's definitely less maintenance than the matte black where every mark was very visible. But I would say it's...

    My Plasti Dip experiment

Hi xG35, I got it done in my own garage ;-) I've been playing with Plastidip since 2014. If you go to the first page of this thread you'll see all the steps. But there are shops in Toronto of course, if you feel like leaving this to professionals ;-). I have no experience with any of them though.

    My Plasti Dip experiment

Wow this one has a lot of glossifier on it, so shiny! I prefer more moderate shine ;-) Other than that, it looks like we picked a very similar color-shift pigment.
