    This thread has video of an SA trimming down the tabs that contact the outer edge of the rims to eliminate the sound: Fixed: Gemini Wheel Cover Noise Has anyone else tried this? If so, have you noticed any ill effects as a result of removing the tabs?

    I took delivery of my Model Y on Feb 6th and all four wheels make this crackling sound. I removed the aero wheel covers and confirmed the sound is gone. All my wheel covers have prominent tabs and I'm wondering if I should file them down/cut them. Has anyone driven for a while after filing...
