    Uberturbine Aero Covers

So... I purchased a set of these just about a month ago from AliE, specifically "Autoparts Global Store" they arrived quickly and without incident. Three weeks later my wife curbs the *sugar* out of one. So I order another set, exact same color, same AliE supplier, etc. They arrived...

    OEM suspension part number/naming codes

I hope thats not a bad omen for me as I've still got my teins NIB sitting on the garage floor... The UP "mild" springs are supposed to be a bit softer than stock, I've been debating grabbing some of those myself, but not really interested in lowering the car so we'll see. I wasnt able to dig up...

    Software updates and warranties

Historically they have had that ability, I know because it was done to my vehicle when our state AG threatened to sue tesla on my behalf, granted this was early 2021 at the height of the pandemic on much earlier software. Now at various points in the software lifecycle they will have schema...

    Software updates and warranties

It very well could be new code that's causing the error to appear, but I'm not sure what you are looking for in terms of case law or legal precedent. I think this is another instance of needing to take a different approach then one would with a traditional car manufacturer, think of the car as...

    Model 3 front suspension clunking

I love me some small claims, IMO its one of those great institutions that almost nobody uses and everyone is some what scared of, but once you go through it a few times, its the fastest way to get *sugar* done. I had to threaten tesla with a lawsuit early on in our ownership when it took them 5...

Model 3 brake system is not responding causing bumper-to-bumper accident slow speed

Then what is it for? You seem very confident in your understanding of the mechanics of this feature, but I cant find a detailed explanation anywhere. I have been told by service center employees it affects: the speedo calculation via the wheel speed sensors and ABS.

Model 3 brake system is not responding causing bumper-to-bumper accident slow speed

Yes, I have checked into that possibility a few times and this feature has never been turned on for my profile. I'm not a big "one pedal" driver, I like to use my brakes. There is in fact a setting in the menu to select both the diameter and the compound (standard or winter), Tesla is mum on...

Anyone have a low profile jack they'd be willing to lend?

Hello PNW-er's, I'm about to do some suspension work on my model 3 and I wanted to see if anyone had a low profile jack they would be willing to let me borrow for a day or two on the west side of PDX down through the Tigard/Tualatin/Sherwood area? I'd be happy to throw $20 or a 6pack your way...

Model 3 brake system is not responding causing bumper-to-bumper accident slow speed

I do believe there is a possible ABS/brake modulation issue that folks may not be giving enough attention to. I have posted about this on here, and gotten feedback on the various tesla subreddits. I experience the scenario multiple times a week in all weather conditions after swapping on my...

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

Appreciate it. That's been the biggest sticking point holding me back, I don't want to dump it with the roads I frequent. I would love some MPP adjustables, but unless I'd like to get divorced soon I need to reign in the car spending (at least until my wife wants some big purchase ;) ) I've been...

    Tein EnduraPro Plus - Review

Can someone help me understand, why am I only seeing the EnduraProPlus fronts and backs for the SR/+? The only option I can find on the tein site for the performance/LR is: which says its a "kit" including front and rear dampers. Is it simply they dont sell the fronts in single qty's? Thanks!

Tein Flex Z front shock mount

mods: (@jjrandorin) can we move this thread or split off the posts that are model Y specific? I get excited every time I see a new update to this thread, only to be let down its model Y info that doesn't pertain to the model 3 at all. (model y OEM ride height of 184mm vs model 3 at 153mm)

    Sentry/Alarm - Triggered by Precondition?

I dont precondition anywhere that I use sentry, but I wonder if its not the high voltage contactors engaging (that loud click/thump) when the battery is engaged either when charging or before use. I've gotten lots of sentry alerts in my time, but only once has it actually set off the alarm, so...

FS: OEM 2022 Model 3 Performance Suspension

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping they'd be the new "comfort" suspension (10/22 and later) I'd really like to get my hands on the dampers and see what all was changed. Good luck!

    Horrendous brake feel

I agree with Occhis, mine was absolutely noticeable immediately and has been one of my favorite mods to the car so far ('21 M3LR). The MPP instructions are possibly a little too conservative on how much the brace should be touching the master cylinder:

ABS pulsating with new winter tires

I had not! Thank you much for the recommendation. I had skimmed the manual and thought it was only for regen, but I'll try it out and report back! That'll teach me to RTFM.

    Horrendous brake feel

I'd advise anyone who is looking to upgrade the feel of their brakes to check out the MPP Brake Booster Brace. I've run mine for over a year and its a night and day difference. Quick and easy install, immediate gratification. I also firmly believe the issues we hear about with folks needing to...

ABS pulsating with new winter tires

Hello everyone, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on what I'm experiencing; I've got a '21 model 3 running the stock aeros and recently (within 2 weeks) put on a new set of Hakkapeliitta R5's in the stock size. Now I'm noticing that when I press the brake pedal moderately (not standing on...

    Adventures in Model 3

It's one of those "I'll add it eventually" mods I plan on doing, if nothing else to hopefully avoid tearing something up when I (or autopilot) inevitability runs over a crappy semi tire re-tread that has come off and is lying in the middle of the freeway...

    M3 lowering

For those of you with springs, is it riding the bump stops all day, every day? Seems like the stock suspension config is hitting the bump stops entirely too much for my liking, I cant imagine how it is with less travel from lowering springs.

Aftermarket (amazon) carbon fiber rear spoiler

You and me both! I will say, based on the design of the spoiler (in theory) the downforce should be exerted mainly on the tapped portion, as when the air travels over the cabin, hitting the trunk lid the spoiler should act a bit like a cantilever "pushing" the tapped portion up against the...

Aftermarket (amazon) carbon fiber rear spoiler

Very nice! Yours looks like it has excellent fitment as well! I'd wager they're produced by the same folks. Can you tell me how long you've had yours? My only real concern is how long it will last before it cracks or fades.

    Removing front bumper

I have been interested in doing this as well, however if you read most of the posts over on RDforums unless you are a body technician with a dark colored car there really arent any good places to mount tx/rx heads. How do you plan on integrating them? Unless you are not going for stealth, which...

Aftermarket (amazon) carbon fiber rear spoiler

Hello TMC, I just finished mounting my Amazon CF rear deck lid spoiler and I thought I would make a quick post about my experience. A few weeks ago I purchased this guy (full disclosure, I didn't actually spend any money on it, I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon for my company and get mad points)...

FS: Unplugged Performance Model 3 Coilovers AWD Performance

Can you tell us any more about the history of these? I've been thinking about picking up some coilovers, but am kind of on the fence, just barely have 1,000 miles on the stock suspension.

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

I understand tires arent sexy, and that financial circumstances differ and change, but I might suggest; tires are not the place to skimp and go low budget. Think about it, your tires are the only thing on your expensive car that actually come in contact with the road surface (in an ideal work 🙃...

My poor baby, someone rear ended me, anyone know what to expect in cost and time?

Doesnt matter. File a claim with your insurance, make them do the leg work. If their insured (you) is not at fault (you weren't) there is no way in hell they are going to accept and pay out the loss, especially at the Tesla rates. They have plenty of people who handle just this and nothing more...

    Sway Bar Issues?

That is awesome! Thanks for sharing, I cant believe I haven't heard of these before. It makes perfect sense, one of those "why didnt I think of that" types things.

    Sway Bar Issues?

Man, this thing looks awesome! I've never heard of these before. So my understanding is that its basically a couple transmitters + amplifier that you attach to different points on the vehicle, drive around and isolate the area via which ever transmitter had the highest dB?

    Game controllers not recognized

Alright, so I finally had a chance to test and I can say that my PowerA Enchanced Wired Controller and this Belkin USB C to Micro USB cable ARE WORKING on my '21 M3 running 2021.4.15. However, there are a few caveats: 1. I've only been able to play 50% of the games, the others are "waiting to...

    Cell problems

Well I have Verizon and I get garbage service everywhere so you are doing better than me there. :-) Now, I do know, from speaking directly with Verizon level 2 techs yesterday (regarding some VOIP to POTS handoff's failing), there was an outage in the Seattle metro area yesterday morning...

How to enable additional users to access your Tesla

Interesting! I admittedly didn't look for road side vs. regular service but that seems counterintuitive; unlikely a secondary driver is going to schedule and accept a bunch of electrical work (or what have you) but could definitely need a flat repair...

How to enable additional users to access your Tesla

So interesting observation with my recent delivery; my wife was the initial "shopper" when we first looked at Tesla, went to a local showroom, did a test drive and I went to the mens room while my wife proceeded to close the deal. They took all of her info (name, phone number, etc) and away we...

PSA - Referral Link May Not Work in Safari Anymore

I purchased via a local showroom and only texted my SA about 48hrs prior to delivery (after getting a VIN) and gave her the last section of the referral code I used (NAME1234...) and it all worked out just fine. Seems easier for all involved that way.

quick update here: tesla home delivery dropped it off about 10am. Its overcast with on and off light rain so its hard to give...

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

has the covid19 situation affected how much you drive? my wife and I just put the 3 on our insurance, and it raised our premiums like 20$ a month compared to our previous car (2 cars + homeowners, credit cards and personal property through USAA) however we noticed our annual driving estimates...

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Admittedly I was a bit surprised too as I fully expected each person to need to sign for delivery. But my SC and the experiences on reddit seem to indicate its much more of an "amazon" experience, where they drop it and take off.
