Yeah, I've almost placed my order about 30 times. I sort of want to wait to at least see what the ev credit details will look like. Passing up on the possibility of $10k just seems so stupid.

I use to day trade. I manage my own retirement, and I can still tell you this is insane. Do you know how many people in the US actually own stocks? If you remove owning any sort of investments due to a 401k, the number is astonishingly low. Now you're calling EV tax credits handouts? Insanity...

I believe the goal was to have it passed before the Aug recess. I think the key though, for those of us wanting to order, is to at least see the final details that are going into the plan. If they're retroactive or not, etc.

Its not officially in the plan, but people are believing that will happen. Details should be worked out by end of April it seems.

So maybe one of the bills that are already in committees will be merged in?

Put $621 billion into transportation infrastructure such as bridges, roads, public transit, ports, airports and electric vehicle development That's what I've seen very high level so far. Hopefully we can start to dive into what that means today.

My X5 is paid off in April. I've just decided to play it by ear. If nothing seems to be realistically passed by say Aug/Sept, I'll just pull the trigger anyways.

Agreed. I can see how that makes sense too. If you’re gong to have charging stations as part of the infrastructure bill, why not include an EV credit?

The tax credit extension passed in 2019 but was killed by Trump.

My X5 is paid off next month. I had planned on getting a Model Y anytime now, but I am waiting to hear what happens with the tax credit. I can afford it either way, but its sort of dumb to turn down a $7500 credit.
