    Canada - FSD rollout

In my experience, this number is 130km/h. You can set it at 130 and be fine, but it'll shut off at anything over that number. I'm on the 401 every day with the car and usually set to 125. I too, was happy to see this didn't count as a "forced disengagement".

    Canada - FSD rollout

Did some testing with FSD Beta around residential areas today. Found that whenever the car had to take a left turn on to another residential street with no marked center lines, it started the turns WAY too early and completely drove over the oncoming side of the road to get into the right lane...

    Canada - FSD rollout

I've found that if you don't have a destination set, it'll go straight through regardless of the lane markings if it has a lane that appears to be straight ahead on the other side of the intersection. I've also found that if there's no clear straight through lane, it'll default to making a right...

    Canada - FSD rollout

Downloading and installing 2022.4.5.21 right now east of Toronto. Going for a drive right after to see if it's less like a 9 year old driving my car.
  5. CanadianRob

    Canada - FSD rollout

I've noticed this. If driving down a single lane and a turning lane starts, it moves into that lane without signaling and then signals the right hand turn half way down the lane.

    Canada - FSD rollout

Downloaded around 1:30am EST. Installed immediately. 25 mins is a LONG time when you're sitting there staring at it and waiting. Went for a 2 hour drive around Trenton and Belleville Ontario. It drives like a scared teenager around corners! A little fast around corners for my liking too! It's...

    Canada - FSD rollout

I'm having more fun now that I know I can pound the accelerator without being penalized, but slowing down to a crawl for corners and not being able to hit the brakes without fear of getting dinged, is getting old fast. I went for a drive in my Santa Fe today just to slam on the brakes a few...

    Canada - FSD rollout

Sooooo.... went for an early morning drive.... Currently sitting at 89 for the day  Still an overall 99 though. Guess I'll be doing a LOT more driving today to bring that back up hahaha.
  11. CanadianRob

    Canada - FSD rollout

I've been pushing the limits a bit further when I go out. I can guarantee you that acceleration doesn't affect your score whatsoever. I've been jumping off lines and blasting away people at lights just like before hitting the button. Just have to make sure you have enough space to do it where...

    Canada - FSD rollout

I'm at 829kms maintaining 100 since hitting the button according to the daily totals under Safety Score in the app. I actually dropped down to 99 overall for a day, but it came back up to 100 the next day.

    Canada - FSD rollout

Was at 100 average over 7 days as of this morning... then went for a drive and had someone slam on their brakes ahead of me. Got dinged and showed a 95 for today. Decided to go out and do more driving before the day ended. Put about another 100kms on the car by driving back roads with no traffic...

    Canada - FSD rollout

314 kms going in to day 6 and maintaining 100 :) This totally defeats the purpose of having a M3P 🤣

toronto to montreal in model 3 standard range+. which supercharger station to use to get to Montreal fastest ?

I still question why they only put 8 stalls there. Regardless of when it was built.

toronto to montreal in model 3 standard range+. which supercharger station to use to get to Montreal fastest ?

OK, well what I guess I mean was I thought they'd put the 20 stall one in Kingston rather than Belleville as Kingston is more of a midway point than Belleville. Especially with there being a supercharger in Port Hope. Don't know what I was thinking saying larger town... I can see how that...

toronto to montreal in model 3 standard range+. which supercharger station to use to get to Montreal fastest ?

For the size of the town, only having 8 stalls at their supercharger is pretty lame.

toronto to montreal in model 3 standard range+. which supercharger station to use to get to Montreal fastest ?

Belleville is always pretty quiet. Live close by and hardly ever see more than 3-4 there. It's got 20 stalls too.

The Toronto Star outdoes the itself in the stupid department...AGAIN

It appears to be fixed now, to the point of removing "non-existent brake", but still says "one-pedal vehicle".

    Supercharging with a trailer

In Belleville, Ontario, there's a 20 stall SC where they're all in the row right at the side of a Mall parking lot. It's never very busy there with maybe 4 or 5 people charging at peak times. I've seen a few with trailers pull up to the one on the end where they're using the end charger...

Model Y forward motion pedestrian warning sound.

Bear in mind that if you disable the Pedestrian Warning System, you won't be able to use any of the boombox features either as it cuts off that speaker. Source: Have the kit, but removed it when boombox was released so I could annoy people while driving.

    High mileage check-in

How about predicting high mileage? LOL I've had my 2021 M3P since March 30th of this year and have put 13,000kms (8000miles) on it.... Had major vibration issues in first week. Car went to service in Toronto and sat there for 3 weeks to replace the rear brake calipers. Mobile service came out...

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

You've done a LOT more protection than I've done. But we may look at our cars a bit differently. To me it's just another car, one to toss the family into and take out for cruises. One to leave everyone in the dust at a stoplight in the blink of an eye. It's going to get chips and scratches and...

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

Wow, that car looks familiar! Welcome to the White/White M3P Family :) Try not to put 10,000 kms on it in the first 3 months like I did with mine hahahaha

Forced to reject my M3 SR+ today, using this as a learning experience

Funnily enough, I just checked inside my frunk and it appears I have a similar issue in one of the cut outs. It's not as noticeable in the white paint, but it's there. Here's what I'm going to do about it: Nothing. This car will have various chips, scuffs and whatnot over it's lifespan in my...

Forced to reject my M3 SR+ today, using this as a learning experience

My comment was in no way to put shame to what you were doing, it was just explaining a differing opinion. Waiting another 3 months for a car over a couple imperfections that are pretty much hidden under the frunk may be a lot more of an issue to you than it is to me. Even at the $98,400 CAD that...

Forced to reject my M3 SR+ today, using this as a learning experience

I believe the 2 panels they mean are the ones in the attached photos which are on the inside of the hood for the frunk. When I read the original post, I'm lead to believe they rejected it because of imperfections in paint inside the honeycomb on the underside of the frunk hood. But maybe I read...

Forced to reject my M3 SR+ today, using this as a learning experience

I just wanted to state here that I've had my M3P for almost 3 months. I've had the frunk open maybe 5 times in total and that's just for the fun of showing people that there was no motor. This wouldn't have been reject worthy to me, but the wonderful thing about being human is that we all have...

And now you can tell that I've never actually looked closely at the ones in the trunk LOL. Thanks for this!

    So... This Happened Today!

Interestingly enough, mine came with front mud flaps installed and there was a set of rear ones in the trunk when I took delivery. I was kinda surprised by this, but I recall seeing a bunch of new cars at the Lawrence Ave location that had the front flaps, so probably something they were doing...

    So... This Happened Today!

I can't really go either way on the paint quality spectrum yet. I've got a couple minor chips in the front and there's a 2mm long spot on the back bumper where you can see black plastic, but my other car a Hyundai Santa Fe has chips in it as well and I take it as just what happens to cars when...

Tik Tok ideas? For Tesla M3?

Could be practically instant if they're being a dumb-butt and recording that tik-tok distracted driving trash.

    So... This Happened Today!

I know it's the free option now, but is there really that much of a difference between them? I didn't look closely, but at a glance they look the same. I've never read into this, so I'm genuinely curious if there's a difference :)
  36. CanadianRob

    So... This Happened Today!

She said that they didn't get the white seats because they have dogs. From what I've seen with my M3P, the seats are extremely easy to clean. Maybe it was an issue of them not wanting to SEE the dog hair on the seats. As far as I'm concerned, the white interior is the only way to go :D

Tik Tok ideas? For Tesla M3?

Please don't be one of the absolute MORONS who films themselves being completely distracted while on Autopilot. If you do this, YOU are the reason people see Tesla in a bad light. You could kill yourself or other people. I really don't understand the mentality of people who do this crap...

    So... This Happened Today!

Cruising around in my hometown in my M3P with Wifey and the kids and happened to see "P3D". Shocked me enough that I followed the lady into a grocery store, backed in beside her and took a photo. (She took one too!) Hers is a 2018, mine is 2021 😁

    The Tesla Wave!

Actually this is an interesting comment. I've never had an issue at this charger getting around 120kW, but about a week ago, there was another Model 3 there and he moved stalls 3 times while I was sitting at mine. Asked him what was going on and he said he was getting nowhere near the kW that he...

Anyone else concerned/feeling short changed taking delivery on the new Model 3/Y?

Here's my $0.02 even though I already have my 21 M3P and it's not missing these features. 1.) Radar - Yeah, I'm going to lose it in an update in this car at some point so it wouldn't be a big deal to me that it's missing from the new car. 2.) Lumbar - I've never used a lumbar button in a car...

    The Tesla Wave!

I get a LOT of stares when out in mine and I get a lot of non-Tesla drivers waving when I go by. Other Teslas here are not a common sight at all. I'm in Trenton, Ontario, about an hour and a half out of the GTA. It's not a big town and it's mostly military people here due to CFB Trenton. There's...

    Spotted! Who is waiting for a Y or a 3 in Ottawa/Montreal?

Your quoted date of the 19th sounds about right, it would be the exact same amount of days from build to delivery as my identical spec M3P :)

    Recalls for loose bolt

So this is interesting... After I took delivery of my M3P on March 30th, I had an issue with vibrations from the rear end and a hot rotor on the rear driver side. It went to service and sat there for 3 weeks while they replaced both of the rear calipers completely (according to the invoice)...

sadly, that wouldn't work here. It gets so cold in the winter that those zip ties would become incredibly brittle and one little tap would break them.

When my SA told me who my Delivery Advisor would be, I sent them an email explicitly requesting that they didn't stick the front plate mount to the car and that is be supplying my own mount.
