    Right now we're looking at an offer of $38.5k from insurance. Unfortunately though they are saying all the comps have autopilot, and it's does not. Once they fix that, we should be in the $42k range, which seems about right.

    No battery damage that has been seen yet, or that I saw from personally digging around as much as I could without removing things. This estimate looks solely to be replacing the door, quarter panel right rear suspension and cross member/subframe. 2/3 of the cost is strictly labor.

    KBB average private party value for it right now is 43k, so here's hoping it would fetch more than 14k at auction! Certainly would be faster and easier to just get a new one.

    30k miles, 2018 dual motor. This 29k is prior to taking the vehicle apart, and without dimunition added.

    UPDATE: Estimates right now as sitting at $29k, and may rise as time goes on. Ouch.

    Here are a few additional pictures. It looks like the structural piece directly behind the main body damage is bent, and two attachments points that connect the control arms to the main drive unit frame are messed up. Top mount it pushed back about an inch, front it bent. I'm hoping the impacts...

    The at-fault party hit straight into the rear quarter panel and wheel. Luckily cameras caught it all. I'm frightened to see how much this cost when all is said and done! Taking it to the Tesla owned body shop here this week, and will update as the estimates start to come in.
