That looks suspiciously similar in idea to what I did on my 1967 Simca and my 1974 MB. Different box tho. Also kept some old newspapers under the hood overnight in especially cold weather (-30C) to enable startup in the mornings.

In this instance it would actually be correct to use the form "breaking" ... ;)
