Quick update on my GPS issue. Had my car into the service center earlier this week so that they could evaluate my GPS problem more fully. They ended up replacing my MCU (17" panel and control unit). Seems to have fixed the problem so far!

Received 5.6 update last night. Fixed the issue!

Received firmware 5.6 last night (SC emailed me after hours to let me know that it would be showing up--tremendous support from Bellevue SC!). Drove about 35 miles this AM--It appears to have fixed the GPS issue for me. Will report back after more driving.

My SC told me software and that I should be getting firmware pushed in 1-2 weeks that will fix the issue.

Bellevue sc put mine on with zip ties below the nose cone. No holes!

The MyTesla website identified a service center for delivery of my vehicle. I emailed the service center and they put me in touch with the DS. I think you can also email the delivery email alias (which I think is [email protected]).

Feels about right--I confirmed about a week before you and my car is now coming on Aug 21. As Texex says, the dashboard does not seem particularly accurate, my car has generally been ahead of what it said.

Agreed. I suspect that the DS has some other detailed tracking system and that they trigger updates to us. Some use the website, some use the emails, some call. Doesn't seem like there is a consistent or authoritative source.

I confirmed on 8/24, VIN # 21112 (S85) and mine still says "sourcing parts." My DS said that I should expect delivery around 9/28. Seems like things move pretty fast once the car goes into production so I am hoping to see mine transition to that state sometime next week.
