A Better Route Planner - How

I've got the paid version linked via Teslalogger which also allows ABRP to give you maps of your past drives, journey times etc. with Teslalogger giving energy consumption, max. speed, max bhp per drive etc.

Carbon Emissions: Report suggests 13,500 miles for EV break-even point with ICE cars.

This was one of the best articles I found when researching the problem before I pulled the trigger - probably not perfect - but they seemed to document their sources/procedure quite transparently/thoroughly.

    Chill mode performance

I've had my M3P about 3 months now and though I nearly always drive in sport mode I have had a few times where I've done journeys in chill mode. Coming from an MX5 1.5, what I really miss (apart from the gearchange and top-down motoring) is the sense of working for something - those 8 seconds...

Before buying your Tesla, did you ever Test Drive one?

Had been considering a replacement for my daily commuter MX5 after 5 years and 80,000 miles and almost bought a Hyundai i30n but a bit too shouty and uncomfortable seating. Only considered an electric as there had been a lot in the press here in Denmark about extension of the exemption from...

Charge Port closes too quickly - any options to customise length of time it stays open?

If ''the Missus'' is home perhaps you could just ring her a minute before you get home, then she can be there waiting with the cable. You pop the charger port, she pops in the charger cable - problem solved :) (Just to be clear - this also works if the 'Missus' is in the car and you're home -...

Test Drive tomorrow - what to look out for?

Only if the Polestar is worse than the Tesla ;)

Test Drive tomorrow - what to look out for?

And remember the different settings for the steering feel/weight - makes a big difference. Enjoy the drive.

    Performance not performing

I'm an expat in Denmark, so I've been lucky enough to have my 2021 M3P for a few weeks now - no long waits :) Before I bought it I did a lot of checking after watching Bjørn's videos and what surprised me was that there wasn't a lot of reliable information/data out there - sure there's his...

    Performance not performing

For what it's worth, I did a couple of runs 0-100km in my 2021 M3P at 06.30 today. Outside temperature 1C, car had been sitting on the drive all night. Drove 2 kms then did the runs 20% SOC - just had a stop watch in the car - no professional timing gear, car on the P Zeros - so not optimal...

UK Model 3 Performance 2021 Waiting Room

I test drove a LR for 30 minutes then went back a couple of weeks later and got back to back drives of a M3P and a LR again, 30 minutes each. Both were locked in chill mode, so no real performance difference, but it allowed me to check I was OK with the 20'' wheels (even though I know I could...

Delivery / Service Issues (panel gaps, delivery delays / issues / Service problems etc)

Took delivery of my M3P a few days ago and thought I'd got away with the quality issues - checked the car over a couple of times and everything looked good - - then I noticed the front passenger door was sitting a bit too far out and the same day noticed some sealant foam under the front...

What did you do to your Tesla Model 3 today?

Looks good. I've had my M3P for a few days and despite checking the car on a few occasions - what I thought was thoroughly - I noticed today my car has the same door issue, so good to know it's possible to fix. Can't believe I had missed it. What's more surprising was today I also noticed what...

Car wow M3 drag race. Surprising result

Interesting that you mention the ride quality. This is hardly ever mentioned when people talk about the differences between LR and P, apart from a cursory ''you get lowered suspension with the M3P'' and ''the 20'' wheels are too crashy''. I test drove the LR AWD then a week later a Performance...

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

Just took delivery of my Freemont M3P MSM a few days ago here in Europe - so build date obviously a couple of months ago. Probably the most stressful build up to getting a car in 35 years of motoring after reading all the horror stories , even though common sense says that it's the...

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

Re. 4163 - I picked mine up yesterday and noticed this - there appears to be a whole piece of the sealing missing on the top left hand side compared to the right - queried it with the sales staff who went and checked straigt away with the guys in the workshop - they say it's due to the boot...

M3P - Who switched from a (true) sports car?

I'm trading in my lowered MX5 ND for a M3P - hadn't expected to be doing that when I went for a test drive at Tesla - had recently test driven a Hyundai i30n and ultimately passed on it as it wasn't as much fun as the Mazda. I've always been a fan of the slow car fast philosophy (loved driving...
