Need Solid Tips on Removing CA HOV Stickers

Better monitor the adhesion of that sticker on the plastic. I did that on my first S back in '13 and it came off while washing the car. Much different than the two big ones I put on the fenders. Now the white ones are no longer valid and just tried to remove one with a hair dryer. It came off...

Need Solid Tips on Removing CA HOV Stickers

I'm with you. First the major irritation that the state in all their wisdom forgot the the incentive was to reduce the pollution and instead now wants to reduce the number of cars in the HOV lanes by expiring the stickers of the first adapters. The the next major irritation is those damn...

Is Regen Braking different on a D vs. non D Model?

I think your answer is in your statement that the charge setting was set to maximum. When the battery is maxed, regen cannot happen. No place to put that juice. I just traded in my 2013 85 with 32K miles on it. Drove home a 90D from the factory (100 miles). They had charged the battery to 100%...

East Bay to Lake Tahoe Road Trip(s)

California: Solar with PG&E smart meter

I just got my meter changed this week to "Net" metering because of my solar (done by Real Goods - the first to sell solar in California in 1978). I also asked for and got the EV-A rate from PG&E at the same time. So far what I produce totally offsets what I use. Fun to see that meter run...

    Hi from Santa Rosa

I just got my S85 on 8/12. Sold a BMW M3 and Catalina 42 sailboat to swing the deal. Got the dark blue metallic, panoramic glass roof, tech and sound packages, active air, 19" rims. The 21s look great but my wife and curbs have too much attraction. Got the Grey leather. I'm a car guy. BMW...
