Sales and service centers in Michigan

Currently Tesla is working on setting up a sales and/or service centers in Michigan. I was wondering maybe someone familiar with laws in Michigan would comment here. What if Tesla would get with an Indian reservation area to set one up? They have casinos in them now and get around Michigan...

    Dash locked up today.

I was driving along for about 7 miles from home going to the office and all of a sudden the slacker music changed songs in the middle of the current song. At first I did not think much of it but noticed that my speed was not changing, it read 52 mph all the time. The clock stopped updating and I...

Question on Maps when 3G cellular is not working

I got a P85 classic in October 2014. I got all options except pano roof and 3rd row seats. When my cellular service is down the maps eventually go to a blank grid. I thought that when I got the car that it had on-board maps and as long as the GPS is working would show streets and such. Is this...

I need to reset screen every day for 3G cellular to work.

I searched and could not find anything on this. I have an October classic 2014 P85. Within the last 3 weeks I have had to reset the screen (hold down 2 rotating knobs for a while) in order to have my 3G to function every day. There is no cellular service where I live. WiFi kicks in there. When...

Anyone hearing a short duration hissing noise?

I've had my P85 for a few months (End of Sept 2014). About 3 weeks ago I heard a short duration (about 1 second) or so hissing noise. It sounds very similar to air brakes of a truck. I thought that is what is was so I ignored it. But just a couple days ago it happened again and there was no...

    Ranger service using car lift

I don't know if this is the correct place for this post so I thought I'd still give it a shot. Tesla says that their rangers can't fix certain problems because they don't have a lift and therefore need to to take it to a service center. I'm about 180 miles from a service center so I'd use a...

How is the suspension firmness/feel in colder tempertures, especially the P85+?

The P85+ has different suspension components. Anyone know since the bushings (or other parts a s well) are different that they would ride more firm, percent wise, in the cold vs the standard bushings. I assume any car rides firmer in the cold but how much probably depends on the...

Question on power distribution using dual chargers at >40 amps charging current.

I have read here that someone stated that if you have dual chargers and charge greater then 40 amps that it will distribute it equally amongst the 2 chargers instead of just the incremental amount over 40 amps going to the 2nd charger (secondary). Is that true?

Who has P85+ and replaced with other than 21 inch wheels?

I'm still deciding on either a P85 or P85+. I drove both and like the P+ but the constant ride is a little rough on a grainy road. Not pertaining to patched or pothole roads, that is understandable . I have talked to some that have replaced with 19's. I'd just like more feedback on others that...

Just verifying opinions of the combinations of P85/P85+ and 19/21 tires.

I'm been trying to make a final decision on the suspension/wheel size for the last 2 months. I definitely want a variant of the P85. I have driven a combination of these for a little while but not at the same time and road. Yesterday I had the opportunity to drive the S60 coil with 19's, S85...

For those that have a P85+. Here are a couple questions.

I'm just about ready to press the order button for a P85+ but need a little more convincing. I take too long to make decisions in general and the suspension was my last one. I had a chance to drive a P85+ but only on mostly smooth roads (was about 74 degrees outside) . It felt quite good and...

Is there more tire grip if air suspension is on LOW setting vs standard?

Anyone know if this might be true? From what I read on this the lower the car the more negative the camber. Does that imply more grip? From what I read it would dictate more tire wear.

Who will keep the air suspension always on low with firmware 5.9?

I'm ready to order a P85 but I'm on the fence in which suspension to get. I see that in Firmware 5.9 that the air was reinstated to be able to be put in low position. From what I knew before the air went to low at a speed greater than about 55mph, correct? I see that in Firmware 5.9 that you...

Best route to take from Holland, MI to Tesla in Indianapolis.

What is the best route to take from Holland, MI to Tesla in Indianapolis? I live in Holland, MI. I have an appt to drive a Tesla (P85) in the Indianapolis Area (Tesla in Keystone Crossing Mall). I don't like driving thru Chicago so I found a Tesla Center in Indiana. There are 2 basic routes...

Need feedback on which suspension (coil/air) coming from BMW and AMG cars.

I'm ready to order a P85. I don't live too close to a Tesla Center to drive a few different cars. I did test drive a S85 with air suspension for about 20 minutes. I did the test drive as a quick decision since I was close to a Tesla Center when I was on vacation. At that time I was not...
