Tough question here gang - basically boils down to if Tesla should add a congestion premium to chronically congested superchargers, and if so, what should the limit be, if any, on such a premium?
I don't know of a clear definition for 'chronically congested' but would suggest if a supercharger...
Planning a road trip to Vegas and checked in on the SC situation there near the strip…it’s packed!
Granted this is from 10pm on a Saturday night but still…insane!
Also seeing a V2 SCer at $0.56/kWh - new record for me.
With the recent news of Ford, GM, Rivian - and presumably others - moving to adopt Tesla's NACS plug and therefore be able to use the SuperCharger network (that is presumably v3 SuperChargers) starting circa 2024/2025, what's your best guess as to what impacts, if any, this will have on Tesla...
Title says it all - for any Tesla driver who's car can charge at v3/250kw does opting for an urban supercharger (i.e. 72kw max charge rate) or v1 reduce the strain on the battery pack when compared to charging at a v3 location?
Understand this is probably deep into the weeds for most folks but...
Morning All,
Curious to know what number/average people use to estimate their supercharging cost?
Have both a S and X with some variation of FUSC (i.e. don't have an easy way to query supercharging prices as the cars do not show prices) so don't have a clear grasp on what the costs are.
For...
Greetings all - apologies if this has already been answered. Searched and did not see the question address.
Simple question: what's the max wattage a refreshed 2023 X can deliver through the USB-C ports and does the port location (i.e. the USB-C in between the two rear fold-down seats) differ...
Greetings all - had a delivery appointment earlier today and noted the following issues on the X. Should it be relevant the build date was on/about April 4, 2023.
Asked to postpone delivery until tomorrow to investigate further and was hoping for the wisdom of TMC here to see if the issue...
Following up on this thread: Can you keep all 4 tires the same size for 2017 MX?
...I'm curious to know if one can use the same wheel size for all four wheels on a 2023 Model X LR.
If so, what size should one use? The fronts? The rears? Or something else?
Thanks in advance.
Greetings All,
TSportLine appears to be prepping a brush guard option for the model Y: Tesla Model Y Bull Bar Brush Guard
Curious to know if any Model X owners seriously considered a similar product for their X's, and if so, what was the conclusion?
Not planning on off-roading here but the...
Greetings All,
Starting to seriously consider the idea of picking up a 7 seater X here and am trying to understand what the realistic options are for seat options.
If given my way I'd opt for a three seater X with the two front captain chairs, nothing in the middle row, and a single fold...
Greetings all.
Sad to say my S75D was involved in an accident earlier this week. Glad to report no one was hurt (thanks Tesla!) but now facing a possible total loss of the vehicle and trying to understand the best paths forward here.
Some details - can provide more if needed:
Diver's steering...
Greetings all.
Have a 2017 S 75D with ~185k on the clock. Very pleased with the car but running into systemic AC issues - specifically compressor (part number 1063369-00-J) failures - see my prior post on the subject for more info.
What's currently happening: AC compressor is becoming louder...
Afternoon All,
Have a JAN 2017 Model S 75D with ~115k on it. Car's performed well but am having two issues I need the board's helps with as Tesla Service is striking out on figuring it out.
Main issue (this thread) is a clunk/rattle sound that occurs when turning (steering wheel turned more...
[First off if there's an existing thread on the topic please feel to merge - I searched but did not find anything.]
Happy owner of a 2017 S, now with MCU2. WiFi signal reaching my garage at home's always been a challenge and I'm starting to rethink my WiFi strategy, which in part lead me to...
@viper2ko caught official confirmation from TSLA earlier today that @Krash source was correct: Tesla is offering an upgrade for owners with an MCU1. Official announcement: Infotainment Upgrade | Tesla
Notable notes:
Infotainment Upgrade is $2,500; access is prioritized based on existing...
JAN 2017 S75D-nee-S60D high-mileage owner here.
Curious to see if other members with a S (or X) built in this time frame experienced any issues with the DRLs. By DLRs, I mean the "halo" which borders the LED headlight enclosure.
Earlier this year the passenger side DLR partially failed where a...
SCing now on the "classic" SCs with 60kw being the peak. Arrived here (Waco) with 6% left, weather conditions are moderate (73), and the car is a software limited S60.
Yesterday the charge topped out around 96kw at the brand new Flatonia SC and the conditions were similar.
Do others find the...
Not planning on doing this but found it an interesting question.
Currently own S60D (software locked 75) with unlimited supercharging. No plans to unlock the battery. If I were to buy a S100, and then decide to swap the batteries - and modify whatever suspension or structural components would...
Saw various reports of the 1st gen charger - or chargers, if equipped - failing. As the 1st generation chargers (40 or 40x2) were replaced with the 2nd generation chargers (48 or 72) earlier this year (I think?), I am seeking information as to how the 2nd generation chargers have held up...
Greetings All,
Title says it all here - placed my order this past Sunday for a S60D, planning on confirming it this coming Saturday, opted for a late January/early February delivery date. Did this in part to take advantage of the Free Supercharging before it goes away.
Question for the pros...
