How long did it take from PPL to get PTO? Tesla submitted mine yesterday.

I contacted Tesla and they said I can request the access for both tesla and solaredge monitoring after I have PTO (Permission to Operate).

Just my 2 cent, what if this company goes out of business lets say in 10 years. Your warranty is zero. I had my neighbor who went through this situation. I would say go with a reputable company where they will be in business for long time.

Tesla installed solaredge 7.6kw (SE7600H) yesterday on a 10.4kWH system. Is this ok or they should have installed one smaller inverter along with a bigger one? I don't know how the calucation works. I bought extended warranty from Solaredge's website for $233

Now Tesla is saying I will receive SolarEdge inverter in my new planset they sent me yesterday, but they don't know the model num. Did anyone received a Solaredge lately? If yes, please share the model num. I am trying to find the AC/DC ratio of this inverter and warranty info.

I did ask them about solaredge. Tesla said they only install Tesla or delta inverters.

LOL. That's my thread. My "Planset" shows tesla inverter, but they changed to Delta since PPL won't approve tesla inverter.

How is Delta m8 inverter compared to Tesla 7.6kW inverter? Initially on my plan set they had tesla inverter, but had to switch to Delta since my utility company (PPL) won't allow them to install a tesla inverter.

Yes, I confirmed with Tesla and also checked my planset where it shows they will be installing 7.6 Kw tesla inverter. I know tesla inverter is not in PPL list of approved inverters, but Tesla just have to prove them it meets PPL requirements. See my attached planset screenshot.

Lol. What if you local installer goes out of business in 10-15 years? I rather go with a reputable company (Tesla) than some mom and pop local solar.

Which direction are your panels facing? What i heard is tesla doesn't install 3rd party inverters anymore. I have PPL (utility) as well. I am in Souderton, PA. My installation is scheduled next tuesday and all panels are south facing.

If you do the math. 7.6 kw (inverter) * 1.7 (overdriving ratio) = 12.92 kw. One 7.6 kw inverter can support upto 12.92 kw system.

Tesla clearly said, they won't let me have 2 inverters. I will have one big inverter 7.6 kw

Just spoke with Tesla advisor and here is what they replied "The Tesla inverter allows for a 1.6 ratio. The inverter size is fine and will allow for overdriving."

Yes, All panels facing south (best generation). No trees or any shadows. I am in Pennsylvania
