Yea the car will only accept a charge after the pack has warmed. It will closely match what your regen is limited to. Had this happen yesterday, regen was limited to about 20kwh. I plugged into a supercharger and it only accepted a charge rate of 20kwh for the first 10 mins or so.

Condo owner in Chicago here with no dedicated charging. I park on the street in year round now and use combination of work chargers, public chargers and extension cords at home(rarely) to get by. I drive 60-100 miles a day, you'll be fine. I leave it unplugged for long periods with no issue.

Yes that is correct, #8's are only good if installed with THHN/THWN in conduit. Romex would need to be #6's, sorry.

8 awg will be fine for 25' and meets code for 50 amp. I have #8's for my recent installation and have had no issues.

I have Chargepoint, Blink, and have recently added Semacharge and eVgo. I have only ever used Chargepoint and it is very reliable and they are usually pretty good to respond to broken stations. I don't have home charging so I rely heavily on public charging.

Recently became an EV only household when we added the smart fortwo electric. Will become a 2 Tesla household once the Model 3 comes out. Road trips are easy with the superchargers and the smart is the city car. Not going back to ICE.

Ugggh, checking this page hourly does not make the wait easier. Wife's bday is 9/29 and mine 10/6, would love to see the car that week.

I confirmed same day as you on 9/1 and received a VIN#22007 next day. No call from a DS though....and when I contacted @buildmymodels, was told 2nd week of October. Still says sourcing, and would really like to get a more exact date, but was told to wait a few weeks for DS.

Twin charging can be adding after delivery, correct? So if you really find your are needing it down the road have it installed, although it does cost more than getting it with production.
