    Thats not how max hitch weight of the vehicle is calculated. Motorcycle carriers also add a side to side twisting force so you want to be under what the max hitch weight your truck is rated for. I wouldn't use those ever.

    Can also carry gas cans if you're going out in the middle of nowhere. Hard to bring extra electricity in a similar volume. Need a massive fold out solar panel but then that probably too heavy. Maybe someday.

    Rodent - probably squirrel - damage
