As much as I would love to get a P, my budget would have been stretched a little bit. After all one of the reasons I traded the Camaro in is to save some money. Maybe in the future with more savings and a better paying job I can swing a P version without thinking too much. Or maybe a Taycan 🤔

I took delivery yesterday! It was sad to see my baby go but after driving the Tesla home I didn’t feel any buyers remorse for getting LR. It feels fast enough I may not even buy the acceleration boost.

I got the "long range" wife but I wouldn't be lying if I say if I could go back in time I would definitely choose the "performance" one lol.

When I was getting a quote from progressive and geico, they didn't have different trim selections for Model 3. It was just model 3 and there wasn't any way to quote for specific trim like either performance or long range. Is this normal? or it might change based on VIN?

I would say LR felt like as fast as my camaro if not faster. 10 speed auto in camaro is super quick and the engine gives most of the torque around low end range so you are pretty much in the power band almost all the time. I was hoping my next car after the camaro would be an upgrade in terms...

This actually looks nice! I have never seen Aero wheels without covers before. So my next question for LR is what would it take to improve ride and handling? I don't mind stiffer right as long as it feels tight when driving. Also that fender gap is too big for my taste lol.

You are right about 0-60 performance of pony cars. Getting consistent their rated 0-60 requires a lot of work. Now I am more interested in LR with $2k boost. So if I purchase that do I still have 350 miles range + 0-60 3.6 sec?

Looks and aesthetic aspect are also important. IMO, performance version will look better than LR because performance's suspension is lowered. Not sure by how much tho. Since I am coming from a sports car with magna ride suspension, I like stiffer ride better than cushy floaty ride.

So in theory, can Model 3P have more range if I put 18inch aero wheels during winter with snow tires? That I will get some range back and it will offset the lost range because of cold weather. Not sure if those wheels will fit because of bigger brakes maybe with spacers?
