Never had an issue with my carplay maybe just your luck. If it's so "outdated" you wouldn't see so many people going aftermarket like Hansshow to get carplay.......

Cool story, but not every buys a Tesla to charge at supercharges, is it nice to have? Yes but everyone that I personally know charges at home and uses it monday-friday to get to work and run errands.

Yeah I rather have a car that I can enjoy for daily driving than a "once in a while". But once in awhile you want to take the poorly built, loud road noise, lack of 360 camera, tradition blindspot and apple carplay and you think "hell no" because of the garbage features. And this somewhat matters.

After all is said if you are using your car for daily commute and want a reliable, comfortable, well built car that's what really matters! Not Rich.

For those with the parcel shelf (factory or aftermarket) do you notice it reducing any road or cabin noise with it on/removed?

Weight definitely have an effect on it, if you read my posts a few pages back I had like 4 bags of heavy soil and that totally minimized if not eliminated the booming. That kind of leads me to believe it's more than just the hatch (which also plays a big role).

So I got a 3d printer and printed 7mm to 9mm stops and found that it still made the booming but with the pvc end caps that I had, they seemed to work better. Don't know if a 10mm stop is needed or not especially with the tubing? Either way I am happy with the end caps.

No, it only makes the ride minimally softer. The boominess needs the vinyl tubing and the end caps or 3d printed hatch stops. Even with those there will be slight boominess/pressure due to poor design of the car/hatch.

Being new to Apple Music I'm disappointed, my playlist music on my phone shows up in the apple music app in the car but the songs are gray'ed out. Then it seems laggy unlike Tesla's music streaming service it's instant when I hit skip.

Yeah now it sync's the playlist but is taking forever and it doesn't show the status. For some reason it shows duplicates of every song, does it happen to yours?

There is an approved fix and they lied to you because I had mine fixed. Tell them to look in the "toolbox" which is their internal notes of issues. To remedy the problem, they dropped my battery and lined the top with foam tape and it stopped.

Butyl on the trunk bin like above won't do anything unfortunately as I did it as well with double layers, I tapped on it and it resonated so I assumed it would help but it didn't. As for putting butyl in the wheel wells (rear) I would just triple up on the layers on the inside vs the outside...

I have the Ioniq 5 and the real range is really close to the manufacture suggested unlike Tesla. I don't know if the Ioniq 5 took those estimates based on higher driving speeds but I get close if not exactly what it advertises at 250ish miles.

Oh shoot my mistake I misread it. I thought it side might not work in US. I thought it having it activated means it by passes the need to move the steering wheel without having to push the button every time.

Did you read the description in the menu? "This feature might not work outside the USA" AND I've actually tried it. What's the point of pushing a button when you can scroll the volume wheel up then down?

It disables the need to keep you hands on the wheel, essentially it disables the blue screen but it doesn't work for the U.S.

Welcome, new tires will not help unfortunately. I did the same when I first got my Y and replaced it with Michelin A/S 4. The best thing you can do next is use the rigid hatch stops by using pvc end caps, bore the inner circle out to fit over the rubber stops (top two only).

There was no rubbing, the 45 is just a taller tire but a little. I think a 50 might even fit as there was still space. I just went to a local tire shop and told them the size and to order 4.

I bought these on my previous Y and kept it at stock height. The suspension was smoother and nicer but not as hyped up as I was hoping for. Would I do it again? Not sure, if it costs was lower around $500 lower I'd do it but being near $3k for parts it's really pushing it.

That's pretty affordable, how did you verify that those part numbers are the new suspension? How did you order the parts? Requested it through the app? Also how long did they say for it to arrive? Do you know if the fronts come with the top hats and spring already?

I had this on my Model Y, pretty much the battery case warps when going over bumps, it's a loud thump and can be felt on the driver side floor. The foam strips did fix my problem.
