As with anything Tesla, I would not rush to be first on a new model anything. Tech and drivetrains are great, but production quality lackluster, especially in early series builds.

Nothing wrong with that. If low cost and compromised ride, comfort is the trade off, Tesla is not the brand for me. Wish they offered an upgraded Model3 as its the right size car.

If only tesla focused the new Model 3 on ride quality (air suspension be dreamy) and interior comfort (e.g. proper sound proofing). Could care less about the incremental tech updates and look at this time as the drivetrain and batteries, range/charge time is already great, and FSD remain a mirage.

The Model Y is truly a horrible handling car in stock format. The Ohlins kit make it livable. Still heavy, too tall and no sound proofing in the car, but at least one gets a solid dampening setup this way.

Tesla OEM suspension on the MY is really quite horrible. The Ohlins DFV GT make the MY a decent car to drive. Not like my SQ5 or Macan, but definitely livable and handles fine, and with 10x improved comfort.

FWIW, can highly recommend the Redwood Ohlins DFV kit. Expensive but makes the car very likable.
