    Supercharger - McDermitt, NV

Sweet! I might have a need to drive from Central Oregon to Vegas in three weeks. While I have a CCS adapter, the PlugShare updates for the BP Shell chargers aren’t very encouraging. Will have to keep an eye on this thread to see if this route (Hines-Winnemucca) will become viable.

    CCS adapter case?

Funny, I just opened the box that UPS dropped on my doorstep last night, and my first thought was “how do I keep that thin little pin from breaking off?” My J1772 is in a small pouch (formed UA business class amenity kit), together with the lock ring, but this monster adapter needs something...

    Programming key card

Ideally what I would want to do is have a separate "Tesla Rentals card" that I add to vehicles as I pick them up, and then de-authorize at the end of the rental (I don't need or want to have access to rental cars after returning them). The cards are only $35 for two, so I might just give it a...

    Programming key card

Sorry for reviving an old-ish thread, but my follow up question seems on topic/related: Can a keycard be reprogrammed multiple times, for different vehicles? I am renting a Tesla with Hertz soon and would like to have a second key card (and also one that isn’t in a big plastic protective case...

    Hertz Tesla rental at FRA

Danke! Any recommendations for what L3 networks to sign up for? I remember seeing Ionity chargers at some Autobahn rest areas in the past.

    Hertz Tesla rental at FRA

While booking a Hertz rental car for an upcoming trip to Germany, I noticed that they have a Model 3 LR for what looks like a decent price. It has a limit of 150 km per rental day, which wouldn’t be issue for my needs. Does anyone here have experience with this? The website claims that...

Oil/fluid leaking when parked on a slope

I’d guess a couple of ounces, but there was also run-off from rain, so a bit hard to tell. Tesla service tells me the car should be okay to drive as long as there are no alerts. This morning there was no additional leakage. I ran the AC/heater for a few minutes in the driveway and there were...

Oil/fluid leaking when parked on a slope

Google just brought me to this thread and post after I found some fluorescent yellow fluid in my garage where my 2021 MY was parked. I scheduled a service appointment, but the first one available is in two weeks. Assuming it is leaking HVAC compressor fluid, should I be seeing some...

2022.4 required to maintain AT&T compatibility

Sure, I will keep an eye on it. And I haven‘t tested all functionality yet, but I was able to connect to the car from the couch and the “Vent” feature lowered the windows. The car is plugged in and hasn’t been moved or opened since Monday. Still snowing, so it will be a few more days before...

2022.4 required to maintain AT&T compatibility

when V11 came out, I decided that I would wait. And explained to my wife (only other driver) why, so she wouldn’t accidentally install the software. Wish there was a way to restrict ability to install new software to individual accounts/drivers. Anyway, you can just ignore the update...

Supercharged (paid supercharging) but didn't get a bill or charge

Well, my very first SC usage eventually showed up in my account. Must have been at least two weeks delayed. Perhaps the records get mailed to Tesla HQ via USPS snail mail. I now have another charge “missing” from the Sandy, OR SC. A second visit, two days later, appeared pretty quickly. Oh...

    Supercharger - Tumwater, WA

Interesting to stumble over this thread, just like I stumbled over the SC last week on our first road trip with our MY. I stopped there to get coffee and use the bathroom (knew the truck stop from previous ICE road trips) and was surprised to find a SC (I hadn’t paid attention to the map since...

Supercharged (paid supercharging) but didn't get a bill or charge

I picked up my new MY a couple of weeks ago. On the (long) way home I stopped twice at SCs. The second one because the map showed I would arrive home with 11% left and I wasn’t sure yet how reliable that was and I didn’t want to run out of electrons on my very first trip. Anyway, in my...
