Yes, you need to have checking account with direct deposit to get 1.24

My case: I had dcu savings earlier and was pre approved.. after applying the loan processor asked if I wanted to open checking account n enroll for DD to get 1.24 I said yes and he opened it while on call

Yes for the cash and then switch to Financing My plan is to get rate matched.. but DCU amount is total-trade in. Tesla amount is 50k so not sure how it works. I am waiting for dcu confirmation document

I switched from cash to finance after getting vin and message to schedule my delivery.. They want us to finalize asap after getting vin and atleast 3 days before delivery I applied for tesla finance today and approved for 2.49 and dcu is in review

You could but price will be adjusted to latest which might be atleast 1500$ more so u might not save a lot

Yes I assume red+base demand is less compared to other colors n they configure them at min quantity every month. So both times I received vins relatively quickly.

My point is, in phase 1 they used order date so people who ordered and didn't get the vehicle can get the rebate. In phase 2 there are many who postponed so that they can get the rebate but they now want to use order date to restrict. The rules can be changed but not one week before implementing.

They were very flexible for phase 1. Ran for long time and gave 5k cash and still giving them from fy22 budget. But phase 2 is pure Tesla discrimination with order date and 2k soft cap.

If BPU had made it clear atleast at start of June, most of us would have already received our MYs.. my EDD is Aug 15 - Sep 14 now 🙄

2k rebate + order date after launch killed it for all of us. I regret giving up my vin 10 days back :/

So did you remove hold recently? I put on hold and I want to remove it soon but scared that they might reassign same vin to me and the frustrating part is to wait for NJ BPU to finalize something

I had a chat with Tesla regarding my thoughts on postponing to after July. My SA emailed me that VIN is unassigned and the order is on Hold. I doubt if NJ BPU updates us till mid July.

I was assigned a VIN 209xxx over the weekend and has EDD June 17-23. If I put hold now I think I will get it only after August 😑

I removed hold on June 1st and today I have EDD of June 17 - 30. I really hope BPU gives some clarity this week so I can hold or take a decision.

It would be good if they decide it sooner so we can atleast take Q2 delivery. Since price increased 2k and presumably will be 53.5k on July 2 so any amount < 5k is not worth waiting till July

If they declared the 2k back in dec/jan it would have been fair, since few are holding their order just to get it after July. No point taking rebate with the 3 year agreement to stay in NJ.
