Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Love the thought……. I did not take it as “gee we should not have made as many cars….” but I looked at the thought as “look at the comparative battery capacity sold/installed as *making up for the lost car sales* ! This is the thought that I came away with……🤪 And look at the estimated margins!

    ALL CyberTruck discussion

OT. Ordered mine today! Founders Edition Beast version with range extender. Website stated delivery later (August?) delivery. Also was a line that talked about home delivery………I checked the box but doubt that will happen where I live… Unsure about the range extender, but I figured that the...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

To expand on California, several years ago NEW diesel powered vehicles are required to have a biannual smog inspection every two years. That irritated a few of the truck owners that thought they could skirt the emissions test for a few years and just trade in their modified vehicle to avoid...

    MyQ Connected Garage Not Loading

So we had issues with intermittent garage door not closing. The signal was sent by the car but the door would not close. The initial “fix” was to stop the car when the wifi broadcast would start and then move when the door started to close. We also have a mesh system and I mapped the coverage...

It allows the tax to be paid now at your current rate and the share to grow tax free in the future. I also did this for the past two years converting about 900 shares total pre split. If you think the stock price is going up in the future ( 3-5 years for example or longer if you are young...

Has anyone heard/ followed a start up out of Mesa Arizona called Atlas Motors (AVM)? Seems that this start up has an order for 19000 trucks for delivery to Australia to a company called AUSEV, a division of BOSSCAP. Our Dr was talking about this today…. https://www.atlismotorvehicles.com/xt...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

OT I truly understand the hesitation of people not wanting to go ”all in” on any one stock (especially TSLA) due to the uncertainty of what the future holds. I was the same way, dipping my toe into TSLA in 2012 with $10k of my $25k saved for retirement. I had/have no other retirement such as a...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

OT Having been retired for 2 years now, I have watched my “all in” position grow 7x in just over two years. I was in the automotive industry for my entire life and received factory training from four different OEM‘s. I was at Saturn when GM decided that the China market for Buick was more...

Sure is fun playing the “Ice Cream“ music on the pedestrian speaker slowly thru the downtown bar scene on a warm spring afternoon and watching the people looking for the “ Truck”. Even driving down residential streets and watching the kids react is a blast. And you can turn it on and off at...

Great article, seems all of my friends/family still struggle with putting money in TSLA even after our Model Y purchase. Funny, we were plugging a hole in the bracket with a pop rivet (unknown why the hole was there to begin with) and adding foil tape to the carpet at the base of the B pillar. Go figure, how long have we had seat belt pretensioners and now a hole shows up and creates an issue?

Go Ahead -- Grade my Vanity Plate Idea

    General Discussion: 2018 Investor Roundtable

So as far as General Motors is concerned if you sell the Volt or Bolt GM ships out a level 2 charger as required equipment and charges it to your open tool account. That does imply that the dealer will actually install the charger........(we have a level 2 / dc fast charger sitting in the...

I also have Solar City, but pay for what I use under contract at 14.5 cents/kW. Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2016

I am sure that Tesla "makes" money on the back side of the deal. My dealership "charges " the service department a rental fee for each day a car is used as a loaner. The customer signs a contract for "0" dollars but the service department is charged $50 a day. We have 10 loaner cars and most...

Model 3 Reveal - "Cards Close to the Chest"

Currently that is correct, and I do not think the mechanical link will go away soon. What does make sence here is the steering column and brake / accelerator pedal will retract and give the "driver" more room. These features are current and only used for ease of entry and exit. Reliability is...

    Life after TSLA

Thought I would start a thread to look for opinion, thought, discussion on using TSLA to generate a pool of cash to then use to invest for generating income for retirement.
