I've experienced a couple of major privacy issues related to pre-owned Teslas. In 2019 I bought a pre-owned Model 3 and when I transferred it into my account it exposed the previous owner's insurance info (including her name, address, DOB, and policy number) as well as her purchase order for...
So my one month old Model 3 had to be left at the shop today since the sound system nuked itself - they're thinking it needs a new amp or computer. Anyway, I dropped it off this morning and was graciously provided a loaner 2015 Model S 85D.
I hopped in and immediately noticed a little trash...
Valid point - and I agree, every single manufactured thing has the potential for unpredictable flaws. I stand corrected in my initial post for sure, $$ spent doesn't mean flaws won't exist.
I do think $$ spent should equate to a higher level of service though (I'd be willing to bet...
Do Bentley's sound systems short out in the first month of ownership?
Fairly certain that the more you pay, the more the dealer gives a crap when something goes wrong. It's called customer service and helps create brand loyalty.
Anywho:
I live close enough to the service center that I dropped...
Well, my '21 Model 3 LR that I took delivery of exactly 1 month ago has just decided to nuke almost all of its speakers. There is tinny garbage audio coming from the front soundbar alone, but if I move the balance to the rear of the car there isn't a peep. I've tried a reset with the two wheels...
Spoke with someone at the Service Center here in Indy now that I have my VIN. Was informed that my M3 will be loaded onto a train and sent to Chicago, and then transferred to a semi to get to Indy. She said by the end of next week, around 6/4 -6/5 the account page will show a self-service portal...
Got the 7-10 Weeks EDD this morning too - guessing that's from the time of order? If so, that math based on my 4/16 order date pretty much matches the June 9-June 24 date window I had before this switch.
If (big if) this passes in the next month or two, would it apply to all EVs sold within the tax year? In other words, if we accept ours now, and this passes later, would we be able to get the credit? U.S. Senate Panel looks to boost EV Tax Credit to $12,500: What we know so far
Moved to the left a little today because why not... From June 11-June 30, now showing June 8-June 24.
Definitely convinced the East to West hypothesis is now debunked.
I got approved with Wells Fargo on 4/16, the [email protected] address replied (1 week after I reached out) that my approval is good until 6/16 (60 days).
Hmmm weird, I ordered 4/16, my current estimate is 6/11-6/30 and I'm in Indy - but we're supposedly the crossroads of America... so maybe that explains the difference?
I know I know. It would just be nice if they'd acknowledge/explain that they're incredibly busy and that they give a damn that you've chosen to drop $50k on one of their products.
Between these absolutely absurd and worthless delivery estimates, the positively ignorant Sales Advisors, and the lack of any transparency/PR from Tesla, I feel like it's only a matter of time before the competition creates/sells something not only on par/superior to the Model 3, but also can do...
I'm thinking this latest site update means they switched everyone to this giant windows 6-9 weeks or 7-11 weeks. Like what's even the point? But I guess that way you aren't having your hopes up for a specific date window that only spans 2 weeks (like mine that said June 4-17 this morning). I...
I find it odd that automotive sites that I frequent who seize any opportunity to crap on Tesla (Jalopnik) haven't reported the same news that Electrek is reporting about the "logistics nightmare". Maybe some shaky sources?
Yikes... guess that explains the delivery dates jumping around like Bugs Bunny. I haven't had a car since mid-April... the few Ford dealers that have Mach-Es on hand are getting more and more tempting...
Pretty much same here (5/31-6/17) to Indianapolis. Every day the earliest date looks like it would be within 14 days of the current date, it pushes forward one day. I'd love to see the programming that determines these time frames.
Ha, that's if the SA says anything at all. Haven't been able to get a response from mine after the first week when he confirmed that I had filled in my insurance info.
Ordered white with black interior & aero wheels on 4/16. Watched the est. date go from 5/21-6/7, then 5/28-6/10, and today it jumped to 6/13-6/30. I currently don't have a car at all, was hoping it would be the end of May... but seriously can't find anything else I could live with compared to...
