One of my friend check with service center regarding the free upgrade. SA review the free upgrade invoice and request the model name and service center location. If we get this info from that guy then this will be good to go. We are a step away

Actually asking for the VIN is not a good way. Because this depends on whether the owner is willing to share these private info. But I know this can be done for a free upgrade as Elon promised in the advertisement and actually some people get it free. If we pay, then this is unfair

How long did you wait for the parts after you request it? Bay Area SC always has backlog parts for replacement and normally >4 weeks wait time

I guess not. Computer is replaced (not only 16G RAM but also 256G internal storage) People in SC won’t work on data transfer.
