In case anyone wants to know, I think the issue I had was the card reader. I bought a single slot (micro SD only) card reader and used the same card as before and the Format USB button is available and works now.

I did. Didn’t work. I don’t know if the problem I’m having is because my card reader has dual SD and microSD slots or not because I get a message that says it detects multiple USB’s and can’t format. I only have one microSD card inserted with only one partition.

I think I have the same problem as you as I have the same Anker USB reader/writer. I get a message to only plug in one USB to format and the Format Hard Drive button is greyed out. How did you solve the problem?

Hopefully the new update gets pushed out next week as per the rumours.

Thanks! I’ll probably wait then. My A/C compressor was replaced under warranty just two months ago. I realize it’s something completely different but I’m just paranoid now of some other part going bad and needing to be replaced. I wanted to do the HEPA filter one too but decided to wait.
