Yes the tint on the front windshield is 70%, side windows are 15% and roof I kept 80% (as my wife's car has 35% and I personally think it's too dark as losing the "wow" factor, but many opinions about getting their roof tinted or not on here)
The latest push back from them is if you live in a "HOA" condo or townhome. They can't be sure if you or the HOA owns the roof, and because of that you won't be able to do the "loan" option. Only way is to pay cash in FULL.
Ok, great. Thanks again much appreciated it. I'm aligned this is on our side (HOA side) and not Tesla.
Our HOA is somewhat informal due to the size (We may have to make something up or research up a template for this 1 page form online and having 2 rest of the owners signed and send it back to...
Got it, thank you. Very helpful. Our HOA is literary 3 units and all the owners/neighbors are pretty close to each other. They didn't have any objection when I brought this up to them.
Hey all, (new to solar here)
The solar panel designed just got sent to us in Tesla.com portal and since we belong to a HOA (small informal HOA, 3 units total), I was wondering if there's an "official form" to get the HOA signed and approved for? or Tesla will send me something from their end...
Looks amazing. You are selling me hard on those 5% tint. PPF you did full body?
Edit: never mind , steal wrap has to be full body, can’t wait to see those afterwords.
Awesome, please do a all around pic! What about the roof?
Yeah 5% looks sick. I'm debating either be a chicken and play on the "safe" side or just dark it out and if they fine/catch me they fine/catch me (tix to remove --> fine). :D
+1, but black is so hard to keep clean. I have the car 1 day and already dirty. Going to do the clear ppf and ceramic should keep them shine a bit longer.
Looks great! What's the front window tint %? 15%? Did you tint over the rear too? I'm getting mine done next week, can't decide if I want to go 35% or 15% for the front. (I think 35% for the front is "okay" in California in terms of giving cops reason to pull you over)
Thank you for the tips. It's all good, it's not like I got a car that T-bone'd. Can't really complain much.
I scheduled an appointment for the mobile tech right away for this coming Wednesday, but the specific is for "trim". Then I took a couple of pictures for the spoilers and wrote a small...
They are mostly minor and me being nitpick (only because we just took delivery for my wife’s M3LR in June and that car is “flawless” in my opinion).
The touched up paint thing I couldn’t quite figure out the “why”. Rest, I think I can live with. I’ve only submitted the mobile tech for the...
The car was delivered bright and early at 7am sharp. I will he busy putting on the accessories all daybut here are two quick pictures for now.
The quality isn’t as great as my wife’s M3LR for sure. There’s some frunk trunk panel gaps and minor paint chip touch up already (it’s not a demo car...
Awesome! I will reach out to you later (after you've driven them for a while) for a final review/feedback. I might be copying you for the set up. Those TS5 21" looks amazing!!!! 😎😎😎
Man, I've been eyeballing those T Sportline wheels for long time (are those the TS5 20" or 19"?) Did you put them on yourself today? Looks amazing.
Edit: Sorry I went straight to the pictures as those attracted my attention right away and bypassed all the texts. All my questions are answered...
I hope you get yours tonight/tomorrow! We should be back to back. EDD is locked in for tomorrow between 7a to 7p.
(I gave up on refreshing every hour earlier/for the weekend. Then got the text just now).
Same! Mine was holding all day yesterday (@ 8/22-9/7) and today shown 8/24-9/7. I guess the smaller the gap the better per this group's experience. Let's get those VINs!
This is a good use-case experience that I haven't thought about (after all, we are only 1.5 month in with the M3LR with the PPF) haven't detected any flaws yet, but you made me second guessing myself if I should still do it for the MYP 😬
+ 1 for this. I've gone all out for a full matte ppf as well, with ceramic coat, and light window tint cost (35% all around and 70% front windshield) ~$6K for my wife's M3LR and it looks great in my opinion. (Some people would definitely argue it is not worth the money, but 🤷♂️. It's a personal...
If you go to the google sheet survey from this form (link here: Teslike Model Y Survey & Order Tracker), filter to performance only, you are seeing about:
33 days from order to vin
8 days from vin to delivery
Total of ~42 days on average
I am almost the same as you. OD: 7/28. EDD 8/22 - 9/7. There are at least 3-4 of us in the same bucket. If we can get a VIN this sunday like prediction would be great. (<-- I hope I didn't just jinx us 🤞 )
This, +1. Pardon my "accept delivery" button statement if is misleading. At the time I already had the app installed but was not able to unlock the car when the car was first dropped off. I had to specifically go to Tesla.com/account and click Accept in order to get the App to "synchronize" per...
Your Tesla.com/accout UI will change again when the driver have successfully park/drop off the car at your instructed location (for me was the driveway). I'm not sure if he will stay with you or not (mine certainly didn't), and I was left wondering around the car for a good 5 minutes.
I...
Yep, in June was home delivery for us. They gave a big window of 9a-6p as well, the guy didn't show up until 2p ish. They were rushing/pushing for Q2 numbers and I've read/heard a lot of cars being delivered between 6/28-6/30 (ours was on the last day of June). I was told that they were doing...
That's nice of him to wait for you. The guy who did my wife's M3LR home delivery just dropped the car off in our drive way and left (left both keys and the Fedex envelope in the car too). Initially, I was struggling on how to even get in, then later figure out have to hop back to Tesla.com and...
Some people here feel a lot more comfortable calling out problems/issues real time and leave the car with SC and have them fix the problems/issues.
My M3LR home delivery was flawless, and will probably do it again. Model Y being a newer model, some suspect there are potentially "more issues"...
From a couple of folks here from CA had mentioned that they are pushing really hard for not "allowing" SC pick up. You have to call and really try to negotiate hard on you rather pick up from SC instead.
I'm surprised that you placed order on 7/4 and still don't have your VIN assigned today, you might be one of the latest I've been monitoring. I've seen other people placed order later than you got their VINs right away. (This Current Delivery Times has been feisty recently due to upset on the...
