    Tire patching in SF/Bay Area?

Hey Tesla community, Has anyone in the Bay Area (preferably SF) had to patch a tire on their Tesla? Would be nice to find a place that has some experience with the Model S, though would be interested to hear if you went to a chain place that was gentle enough to handle your baby :) Thanks.

Drove P85D over cement parking block

Yikes. A very uncharacteristic move on my part. I was in a parking lot and apparently my space was the only one with a cement block. So, I drove forward (suspension in low), maybe 2-3 mph and BAM!, my right wheel goes over the cement block and some part the underneath section of my car hits the...

P85D smoother, less front motor whine after 6.2

Anyone notice this? Don't think it's placebo :)

    Is torque sleep perceptible?

Used range mode for the first time on my P85D a few days ago and couldn't really tell.

    P85D efficiency up after 6.1

The logical part of my brain tells me this can't be possible, but here's what my car tells me. Granted, I did use the new adaptive cruise control but generally use regular cruise control anyway. Unless somehow the adaptive version is more efficient. Not sure. In my 300 miles or so usually I get...

P85+ owners, are you disappointed in P85D steering?

I keep reading reports that the P85D is lighter than 'sport' in the P85/+. Seems disappointing. Any of you who moved to the P85D from the P85+ very unhappy with the steering? Does it get somewhat heavier at speed?

Anyone getting less than 1.99% via Tesla?

I realize credit unions have cheaper money but am curious whether any of you have managed to get a lower rate than 1.99% via Tesla (Wells). I want the residual guarantee. Thanks.

Highway passing power: P85D vs. P85+

I'm certain that launch from a standstill is where the D will really shine relative to other exotics and the P85+, but curious to get your thoughts on what passing power at highway speeds will be like. Since there's 50% more torque at all times relative to the +, I imagine there will be a very...

Tan interior with black headliner. Pic?

Anyone have a real/non-design studio pic of this combo? I ordered it, and imagine it will add to the two-tone nature of the tan interior.

Trading in P85+ for P85D...give me a nudge!

Ok, so I ordered my P85D the night it was announced, thinking that my P85+ would hold its value decently well and that I'd have no trouble selling my car. To recap, my P85+ had a $120K sticker (before credits) and has only 4200 miles and is, without exaggeration, flawless. It's been opti-coated...

Selling P+, ordering P85D -- try new color?

I know most people are probably really happy with their current color setup and would say they wouldn't change a thing. I also really love my blue p85+ but I'm also very curious about MC red and pearl white. Since I'm effectively getting a chance to rebuild my car, should I go for a diff color...

P85D is an extra 291 pounds. Will there be a handling penalty?

Or do you think Tesla has negated it with a combination of retuned performance suspension + better mechanical grip?

    2013 P85+ flawless condition, 4200 miles

Hi everyone, I'm shocked that my car is for sale. But I want to upgrade to the D and such is life. My car is blue with tan performance interior and 21" grey turbine wheels. It's no exaggeration, but this car is literally flawless inside and out. There is no curb rash or scratches on the paint...

Does your driver side door shudder?

When you close it? Doesn't have the solid thud I would have hoped for. Something rattles or shudders when I close it. P85+.

    Consensus on best floor mats?

The factory ones are really irritating me. Just looking for something more plush and luxurious and befitting of a $120K car. Appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

    Using Latch hurt leather ?

Anyone concerned about using the rear seat latch system and hurting the leather in the process? The buckle gets jammed in there but can't tell if it's hurting the leather or underlying cushion.

Does your P85+ pull right on Bay Area roads?

Specifically much of 880 and 101? I know roads are crowned but I'm starting to get concerned that my P85+ can't keep alignment. Or perhaps my expectations are out of whack. It seems to pull right on the highway, at certain times. I've already had it aligned once. It got better after, but now...

Tesla wants to replace my drive unit - 900 miles on car

As I suspected, Tesla wants to replace the drive unit on my P85+. It has the low pitch groan above 65 mph+ since new. I am trying to figure out whether they will install a new unit or remanufactured unit. Should I insist on the former since the car is practically new? Or is the latter just as...

    Took delivery of my P85+

Incredible. My Porsche 911 is for sale :) Here's what I ordered: Blue/Tan P85+ with everything except jump seats, cold weather package, paint armor, ambient lighting and alcantara. I love all of the obvious things about this car (look, power, ride, tech) but here are my gripes, ranked: -...

Picking up P85+ on Wednesday -- my enthusiasm is significantly dampened after 5.8

Am I being stupid? The look when lowered and the handling of the P85+ was a big factor in my decision to spend $120K+ on this car, and I'm frankly pissed at how this 5.8 release went down. I'm cautiously optimistic that January will bring us some more control over this, but I obviously have no...

    Porsche 911 owner -- drove P85+ yesterday -- deposit placed -- MANY QUESTIONS :-)

Hi everyone :) Let me start off with a bit of context. As a kid, the only car I ever really wanted was a Porsche 911. 3 years ago, I fulfilled that dream. It is the best car I have ever owned -- tons of fun, ridiculously fast, handles like a dream, beautiful, and reliable. If you would have...
