    Supercharger preconditioning

If I recall correctly, a well heated battery also causes less degradation during charging? I think the lithium "plating" issue? I'll have to search that bit more... so anyway if that is true then spending 30 miles of range has a benefit beyond the 4 minutes of charge time. Also, I saw some...

Gen 3 Charger Power Sharing - who has this working?

The breaker was originally a 50A for the NEMA-14-50 receptacle and I replaced that with a 60A. I wouldn't want to push my luck on the cabling getting hot in the summer on long charges. Maybe I'll get my IR heat sensor out this summer and see what temps I'm dealing with but the electrical code...

Gen 3 Charger Power Sharing - who has this working?

I didn't do a full re-commision (yet) but I took a couple screenshots that I don't think are shown very nicely in the docs. One shows the view where you would set the total amps for the shared circuit. The other is the "main" sharing page that shows my units' current status.

Gen 3 Charger Power Sharing - who has this working?

I saw those briefly in my searching but the ports weren't always connected to each other, were kind of expensive, and were aluminum but my cables are copper... wasn't sure about the load passing through it.

Gen 3 Charger Power Sharing - who has this working?

Not sure when I'll have time to do it... but I might do it and try to document for you and the community. I'd like to know for sure what the slave is set to and tempted to play with upping the total shared amps. The cabling has been very safe temps so far whether I pull max with the Model-Y or...

Gen 3 Charger Power Sharing - who has this working?

If you are setting up a single TWC then you choose the setting from the UI. When setting up power sharing (on what now becomes the master) you use a different part of the UI to set max amps for the shared circuit. This is where you can type an integer of your choice. The theory here (according...

Gen 3 Charger Power Sharing - who has this working?

When setting up the master / slave TWC and the shared circuit limit I believe I could have entered any integer for circuit total amp limit. I entered 48 (60 amp breaker, 80%). Therefore the two TWC's with two cars plugged in will self limit to 24A each if both cars are trying to pull max. Yes...
  9. RudeDude

Gen 3 Charger Power Sharing - who has this working?

I agree with @rwojo . I'm not sure what path to try and reach Tesla on this topic but their manual makes it pretty clear that they are talking about one branch per TWC but newer electrical codes mean you can share a branch. I'm just glad the two TWC's didn't do their line tests and freak out...

Gen3 Wall Connector Question - load sharing?

Plenty of good and useful information in this thread here. Thanks all! I did decide to look at the most recent codes because the Gen 3 installation manual still shows one breaker (branch circuit) PER wall connector. I am NOT a lawyer and I am NOT a certified electrician. So, as I read it, the...

Gen 3 Charger Power Sharing - who has this working?

Thanks @Fosomo your post was helpful. I also went digging into the very newest NFPA / electrical code for 2023 and saw that they rearranged things a bit. At least in part to have code for things like the Ford Lightning providing backup power through an EV charging system. So, yeah, code allows...

    Virginia Anti-icing Legislation, EV Law

In Virginia (and perhaps MD and CO?) we should group buy a few thousand stickers that we can manually add to the stalls as we visit there. It just has to color match Tesla red and have the test "Penalty up to $25".

Good find @corywright , thanks for posting. Driving in Virginia at the moment, haven't loaded new software update, I can't seem to search or find or check status of the north Conway supercharger. For whatever it is worth, I'd also recommend the plug share app. The onboard Tesla destination charger information is ok but Plug share is much more detailed. Destination chargers exist around Jackson and North Conway and judging by the reports by people, they can be pretty friendly to visitors...

Software stuck on 2021.3.104, but Tesla thinks I am on 2021.4. How can this be?

Based on anecdotal evidence, the "vision only" cars with new "factory" versions of firmware were also "stuck" until 2021.32 came out and I've seen a few threads where people are talking about finally getting their first update after 40, 50, or 60+ days. I just got my first update yesterday

When will my car get updates? Its been AGES already!

August build Model Y, vision, no FSD. Was "stuck" on 2021.3.106 since delivery Aug 17. Just got my first update prompt when I parked the car this afternoon! Currently the 2021.32.21 upgrade is installing! My stats will show in TeslaFi for whatever thats worth.)

Like you (and others)... I took delivery Aug 17th (5.5 weeks ago) with a manufacture date of August. Also, I agreed to the "No radar" and I do have a cabin camera that I can see in place. Still stuck on 2021.3.106 (factory installed I suppose... week 3 would still be January?) I'm really hoping...

Same question here... New Model Y here, just over 1 month in my hands. "Advanced" is enabled, plugged in and on wifi every night. Still stuck on 2021.3.106 which I assumed was because I (like others) are on the vision only ("no radar") setup. I'm hoping updates start rolling to me soon!
