Has anyone in Toronto got the 2021.36.8 yet?

No still on 2021.32.5.5 But it was someone in Canada that got the 2021.40 -> but it looks like this doesn't have the remote sentry camera item Tesla 2021.40 Software Update & Release Notes
  3. J

Has anyone in Toronto got the 2021.36.8 yet?

Looks like 2021.40 also has some more cold weather improvements, specifically related to pre-warming the car before departure and how it uses defrosters or not.

When are you changing into winter tires for SR+?

Both cars already done as of last week. The forecast is a high of 6 or 7C here in Toronto tomorrow and Thursday, thus it's time for winter tires. I always get mine done last week of October or first week of November

Recommendation for electrician to install home charger in GTA?

You can try to get multiple quotes from different installers in your area. One way to look for them is: Find an Electrician

    Tesla Wall Charger - Whoah!

Yes level 2 charging makes a huge difference
  7. J

Why is Model 3 SR+ so popular?

Yup, as per what @Booner_k said, it's all about supply and demand, along with rebates. There is no incentive for Tesla with limited resources to sell the cheaper version, as popular as it may be.

Advice on Used 2021 M3P Price (Ontario)

Autotrader.ca has the "what's my car worth" section where you can get quotes from dealers that will buy your car. That should give you a good indication as a starting point, and likely if you sell it privately you will get more. Good luck!

Where did you get your Windows Tints? Toronto Recommendations

Auto-links continues to be a good recommended place, though they are pricey. I didn't end up with them simply because while they do very good work and are highly recommended, they do not seem to want to do the roof/rear glass in 1 piece for the Model 3, and thus charge quite a bit for it. I...

Any referrals for shops in Etobicoke/GTA supplying winter wheel/tire packages?

Lots of different places, but I live north of Toronto so I don't know any in the Etobicoke. I personally go to Extreme Wheel and Tire at Yonge and Elgin Mills, I just got my winter wheel and tire set there for my SR+ Model 3. Just a word on the TPMS. Currently for all 2021 Model 3 and Y, there...

Best rims for Michelin X-Ice snow winter tire?

Ok, yeah look for the OEP TL03 ones then. You can even use aero caps for those.
  12. J

Best rims for Michelin X-Ice snow winter tire?

From the size, obviously you have the Model 3. But which Model 3 trim do you have? If you have the SR+ or the LR, then any 18" alloy wheel that fits a Model 3 will fit. Some folks go for the original rims from Tesla (aero wheels), some go for the replica version of the OEM wheels (so they can...

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

When you placed your order, you would have designated a store for delivery (likely closest to you). Thus, find the info for that start, call, go to the sales line, and talk with the person that picks up. Anyone picking up should be able to help you, and you can also find out who your SA is...

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

On that page that you took the screenshot, there are some documents for you to download / review on the right side, closer to the bottom of the page. Are those the ones that you need? If those are not it, then you would probably be referring to the final sale documents, and those don't appear...

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

Typical :) Sounds like you are in the final stretch. For us East Coasters, about 2 weeks from delivery you should start seeing the VIN in the source view of the website, and from there things are rapid.

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

Sorry, but where do you see that the Model 3 price went up 2k? If you are saying that the Model 3 SR+ is showing 54.9k CAD by default on the Tesla Canada website, this is because they are using by default 19" rims which cost 2k more than the 18" rims. I speculate they are doing that, cause 19"...

The tires are all season Michelin tires. I don't live in BC nor do I know what your local conditions are, so perhaps search this Canadian forum or perhaps start a new thread to ask more local folks :)

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

$95CAD each, plus tax. So for us in Ontario it is 380 for a set of 4, plus tax which ends up to be 429.40

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

Above is correct. Any 2021 models require the "new" bluetooth TPMS, that must be purchased from Tesla. Aftermarket ones do not work. You can: a) Order them via calling the parts department of the closest service center b) Go to the service center to buy on the spot c) Via the app, book an...

Tesla trade in value vs. delivery date

At every odometer update (when your trade-in quote expires every month) they will requote you. There is no guarantee that the quote will stay the same. At my first odometer update, my trade-in value went down 45%. I did have a 3rd party quote from Autotrader but the first Tesla quote was the...

So as a follow up it has been 2 weeks since I got my 2nd Model 3, which is a Blue LR. From the exterior paint perspective it was very good, and did not see an issue from this part. Exterior fit and finish was not as good as my first Model 3, and I can only speculate if the end of quarter rush...

    GFCi requirement in Ontario?

LR Blue Exterior / Black Interior, Ordered Sept 3. I wish everyone good luck once again, as I exit this thread (will still try to chime in to answer questions) once again as I took delivery of my 2nd Model 3 today. It's pouring rain out so I didn't get a good look at the exterior, though the...

    Canadian Insurance Options?

There hasn't been much talk about insurance around here... That said - are you part of any groups / associations / work that has group insurance deals with someone? I'd start there. Then - see if you can find an insurance broker - they will usually work with you to see what you need and then...

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

It is a very good question honestly. So on the surface, the answer is not really. This is because Tesla is unlike other car manufacturers. Established manufacturers usually only puts in big changes at the start of a model year, so you see a cycle of older models start to get discounted to make...

Anyone has the LFP SR+ in Canada yet?

Sorry but I don't think so. I picked up my SR+ a little over a month ago, it is definitely NCA, and it also has the E in the 7th spot. What @Xelloss99 said above is the most correct - that will tell you definitely

Ceramic Coating & PPF Recommendations (Toronto) - M3

So just to be clear, PPF and ceramic have different goals. You can of course do more research on these items, but at least from what I can tell (not a huge expert, just what I have read) - PPF is for protecting your car from items that can damage paint and clearcoats, while ceramic is really...

I will be honest and say that I have only been tracking this type of stuff since earlier in the year, and only have a Model 3 since about 1 month ago (with the 2nd one on the way). But from previous research, Tesla does indeed not allow inter-province ordering etc any more, though they did used...

No tax savings on trade in?

Hi there Sorry, but can you double check this item? I took a look at my actual agreement, and line A said the gross cost of the item, line B said "minus any trade-in, rebate etc etc etc", and tax was calculated all the way at the bottom. So on mine, it does look like (as per normal) they took...

Possible new Tesla Owner with some Qs!

Honestly, up to you! Costs will be different if you get a 60A circuit vs a 40A circuit: a) The wires - a 40A circuit will mean 32A continuous (again 80%). This means, you can use 8AWG copper wires. For a 60A circuit with 48A continuous, you have to use 4AWG copper wires. The lower the number the...

Possible new Tesla Owner with some Qs!

No. Unfortunately not. There are of course ways, but each I have not found it to be sufficient. With the google map item in the teslas, there is already traffic reporting (with premium connectivity) and at least traffic rerouting (with standard connectivity, it just won't show the traffic on...

Possible new Tesla Owner with some Qs!

Hi! 1) As other said, please use a 240V outlet, similar to something that you would use for a stove, or dryer. You can get an electrician to install it in your garage or where you park. The cost of this will depend on your panel if you have free slots, the distance from the panel to where you...
