Honestly if anyone in a 2021+ car has this issue, schedule the appointment, review the part *in person* and discuss whether or not you should pay for the replacement at that time. It’s clearly a faulty revision that has been fixed with a deeper trough and better drainage.
It’s also...
This is just silly. They’re clearly uninformed. The new car part is a swap out that takes maybe 20 minutes and doesn’t require unbolting the receiving assembly from the car. And it comes with the fresh transferrable hepa.
Also worth noting: if possible don’t give up on this one as a warranty repair. I was able to make a case and I’m glad I did. This original revision was clearly ill equipped for heavy rain, the repair was very fast, and a mobile service tech simply kept the bolt on part that would have taken...
Sounds like the same updated gear chimes from the spring releases for 3 and Y landed as an undocumented feature today… really wish we could toggle it back off. Heavy and sing-songy tones. Obviously a matter of preference, and I’m guessing I’ll get over it, but spouses car still has the last...
This was a common issue when my S refresh came out. There are two latches and the second one is defective. They'll fix it pretty quick and easy. Took about an hour.

I’ve seen them go in within a week. Just need it for the weekend of the 4th to make it to Washington island. But yes. Memorial Day is likely out of the question.
Same! I’ve never had a car so anything but depreciate. Love it or hate it, seems some jokes won’t land in some forums. I can take it, but I think it’s getting lost in the medium.
It is veering off-topic, and calling out a politically charged dogwhistle clearly carries intent to take the conversation elsewhere yet again.
So I do agree, TMC is about the cars, not who you blame for the global shortages due to a global pandemic.
I’m entirely onboard with a universal charge door and maybe even a standard port eventually. I just don’t see what was wrong with the hinge placement and charge led before. You *can* run leds around the perimeter of both styles of charge port. Current execution seems rushed.
Perhaps worth noting it looks like someone tried to get even spacing of the LED before someone changed the door shape. I still don’t get why it couldn’t be to the left of the charge port or again, just continue to integrate the LED into the charge port since that has to be custom anyway.
I really need to know who was sleeping behind the wheel when they decided to put the charge indicator where it now is in the model s and x. I beat this update, and I couldn’t be happier. For the price-point it does seem they could have stuck with the ring surrounding the port.
As a designer, I...
cc @Endoscope Same issue, they weren't able to make any real adjustments without compromising the door fitment. Might have a little more to do with the dash than the door.
With the refresh I was definitely happy to get anything to prepare for a Minnesota winter. But it seems Tesla recently re-released the liners with *much* better coverage.
Slight cost premium over the Weathertech. But much more subtle branding.
@omarsultan sanity check: back tires and wheels are indeed wider correct? I see that the 19inch kits coming from tsportline have equal size fronts and backs.
Small note here: I decided to go for Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 from Discount Tire (#89328,#89346) as they have a pretty solid reputation here in the forums. I did have to call it in however as the website requires you match your tires with what *they* think is the correct wheel set for...
I would be shocked if it did. You’re far from the only person to go aftermarket. And I plan to have 19s for the winter. So it would be silly to do anything based on the original car config. That and there’s no way the software can tell what wheels you have on (I mean perhaps with sensors and...
100% interested in your 19 OEMs. I'm a poor soul in Minnesota and my delivery isn't due until the snow starts to fall (and my 21s are simply not going to cut it in the snow).
I mean normally I’d say yes, but your interior / exterior is different across the orders, and white has notoriously taken longer than black, so I guess I would say it’s not the worlds best A/B test when you start introducing variables.
At risk of stating the obvious, finally buckled and called a SA today. Long story short in Minnesota (and im sure the rest of the states) is: rare spottings of 19 inch wheels and near zero white interiors. That and apparently they run them all at once, so when the whites start coming, it will...
Really appreciate the response! Cardenio is the new name for the 19" MS wheels. I'd love to know your thoughts on 20" for winter driving and potholes as I'm definitely considering that as an alternative when flow-forged options arrive from TSportline.
One thing is for sure, I cannot find any...
Hoping to get my Model S before winter, but curious if anyone has had an experience ordering wheels from the service center. SA mentioned this can be done through the app, but I'd love to know what the price is typically compared to a wheel package from TSportline. Definitely appreciate all...
RN114415/LR/19s/FSD/MSM/White Still blank and really hope we get some traction before temps dip down. I'd love to consider some of the 19 inch wheels for winter, but debating whether that makes sense or whether tsportline is be better bet.
@omarsultan I don’t believe I’m able to update the Model S Refresh Tracking, but it seems the page for “White interior with VIN” is misconfigured, and showing much more. Apologies if I’m the tenth person to mention it. Would love to check that page rather than scan through every VIN :)
Long time lurker here, and first new car ever (approaching 40 years, seems about time). Made the mistake of ordering arachnids in Minnesota. Reached out to TSportsline, and it looks like this will also be the first time that I routinely swap wheels between summer and winter... flow forged 19...
If you find tires for the back be sure and let me know. As far as I can tell, there are no all-season tires sized 295/30ZR21, so you're probably looking at a separate set.
