FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

TeslaFi went down ~0730 EDT for about 30 minutes this morning. Probably still recovering.

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

The Y uploaded over 130 Gigs last night from 12.3 driving.

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Scourge of the road type of speed matching. I'll try auto speed offset off today and see how it goes. My drive is a mix of limited access and "city streets" state highway.

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

400 miles on 2023.44.30.25 so far. 2021 MY (HW3). Auto max speed blows on state highways. Tries to match speed when clusters of speeders pass, otherwise hangs out at 2-3 above the limit. Drove on the wrong side of the road today after taking a protected left. Stayed left of the double yellow...

    Normal mileage for a tire?

58,000 on my Goodyear Eagle F1s. About 1/32 to go still. Rotated once. Been shopping tires in the last couple weeks actually but happy with the life. One was patched at ~30,000. ETA: I have acceleration boost.

AP drives an MY left of centre.

I had my windshield replaced several thousand miles ago. The shop here CONUS recalibrated AP on their test stand and took a drive. When I took back possession lane keeping was so bad I opened a ticket while simultaneously resetting the calibration on the user side. It was driving about a foot...

    FSD Beta v11.x

I drive daily a route where a traffic light was replaced with an overpass about a year ago. In FSDb the vehicle will display a "stopping for traffic control in 600/500/400 ft etc" until I tap the accelerator. When I transit the same interchange on TACC it will display a red "stop line" until...

    FSD Beta v11.x

Did they change the algorithm? Back when you had to audition for FSDb any mistakes caused by AP didn't count against you. If they did, that really sucks!

Signal volume inaudible with 2023.27.7 (FSD 11.4.7.3)

Timing is too funny. On the phone today at 70 mph and the wife was complaining it was too loud (she was on the line, not in the car) I agree. Sounds louder to me and more "analog" than before. 11.4.7.3 w/ joe mode on @Soul Surfer

    FSD Beta v11.x

I have a brand new windshield. 49.9k on the car and about 2k on the windshield. Worked fine before 11.7.2 with the new windshield (no product other than invisi glass) and the behavior changed significantly with 11.7.2 to match most of what others here describe.
  11. RowdyMY

    FSD Beta v11.x

Commanded lane changes completely broken for me in 11.4.7.2 in the same manner you have described. 120 miles a day for my commute. Repeated multiple times each way. It also "aborts" auto lane changes half way through the maneuver at an increased frequency for no apparent reason. Aggressively...

    FSD Beta v11.x

I can't find it to prove it now but I remember reading 6 weeks back or so that Tesla was going to start tailoring charging recommendations by manufacturing lots to account for battery variations. There so much noise when you search for Tesla Battery I was unable to dig up the article. Happy to...

Full Self-Driving may be degraded Poor weather detected

To @KArnold point - we all interpret it how we will. There's nothing that says in the notes/warnings/cautions that if this is displayed than "x" is degraded. Standard fair weather cautions about keeping hands on wheel not withstanding, this is ill-defined. Why display it if nothing changes...
  14. RowdyMY

    FSD Beta v11.x

Nor is it designed to. That's your job: "Tesla automatically reduces driving speed when lights from an emergency vehicle are detected when using Autosteer at night on a high speed road". It's a very rudimentary feature that only works under very defined circumstances.

Never a doubt about what your point is
  16. RowdyMY

    FSD Beta v11.x

I mean to be fair, this is about as civil as it gets. It's an argument where nobody makes a point and everybody defers. I've never seen a more polite disagreement.

    FSD Beta v11.x

Just showed up today. 33 still pending after 90 installs but so far too early to call over way or the other. Bigger roll out than 11.4.6.

    FSD Beta v11.x

My 2010 infinity with 170k never got an update - and they wanted $300 to update the DVD based gps maps. What gives?

Does anyone know what those chevron arrows mean?

RTM: "When moving significantly faster than vehicles in adjacent lanes, Tesla automatically reduces the driving speed. This is especially helpful in heavy traffic situations or when vehicles are constantly merging into different lanes. When Tesla detects other vehicles driving significantly...

    FSD Beta v11.x

I finally figured out that the Tesla thinks my coffee mug is a phone sometimes, especially when held on my right side (RHD) at about chest level. I hold it lower now closer to the console and haven't had issues in awhile. Could be contributing to the quick and successive nags you had.

Autopilot randomly changes set speed on DC I66 Express Lanes

That's all new construction. Speed limits are pulled from sources unbeknownst to us and are independent of the map displayed on the screen. (i.e. we don't know how often or even by what process they're updated) When they first started opening 66 back up after the major shifts my car would try...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Couldn't figure out how to edit an existing message and add quotes. Sorry for the double tap. Interesting. Definitely preference. ABRP certainly helps me confirm Tesla's navigation but I would prefer shorter elapsed time. That charging ramp on non-LFPs really slows down above 50%. I...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Hot take incoming - zipper merges are much more efficient. While I don't believe FSD chooses the 'most efficient' option and this was just the result of a simple if-then, an empty left lane is unused traffic real estate.

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

I mean you're not wrong and there are some serious shortcomings. Drove ~400 miles today. The improvement from 10.5 to 11.4.4 is breathtaking. Gone are the days of aggressively changing lanes for a cone. A single cone used to throw the whole thing off and bring the experience to a grinding...

    FSD Beta v11.x

Casual observation (and maybe a hot take?) : Appears many believe the manufacturer would take liability for at fault accidents. My assumption is in at fault situations operating in L3-5 the owner/operator is responsible. The O/O could subsequently pursue legal action against the manufacturer...

That's weird. I thought you were conflating this post from a completely different thread.

User Annoyed That EAP Won’t Work On His Highway Commute - How To Fix?

What is it? What guides your car from on ramp to off ramp? I'm seriously confused what you're talking about here.

Newbie - should I buy monthly FSD?

2023.12.5.4 isn't an FSDb release. I think you're misreading the post one above you replied to. @JB47394 is correct on that traditional "legacy" FSD doesn't take turns. @Joe2765 is still awaiting a push to FSDb.

ETA - Misfire. I assumed based on the name that your were in the Netherlands. Looks like Canada now that I'm on my Mac. 🟧

Newbie - should I buy monthly FSD?

Glad to see you got it right away. This is not great advice. It appears they batch their firmware rollouts. You just got lucky. For example, Tesla hasn't added any new vehicles since 5/23 to 2023.12.10 (re-release of 11.3.6) and no new vehicles to 2023.7.10 since the 27th. While I agree...

Nickel for every time I had that problem... Glad to see this release going a bit wider geography wise and giving a bit of love outside of NA Tesla owners.

    FSDb-Induced Road Rage?

I'd say that's a pretty common scenario. I try to cancel it to be polite but the other driver isn't entitled to be the sole occupant of the passing lane. Assuming no extenuating circumstances (e.g. you were driving below the limit) the only one in the wrong was the driver that needs to...

    FSD Braking Breaking My Dog

Couldn't find one of her in the car to do it justice. Hotel on an island in Maryland. She was upset the housekeeper came in so put herself in the bathtub. The housekeeper left a treat for her and 4 hours later she still couldn't bring herself to eat it.

2023.7.5 is being released but still not far enough for the 2023.12.x cars!

Are we really going to play semantics on this? Look - your points are valid. I'm not arguing that you're wrong. It's just weird, in my opinion, 'they' pushed a dot release so quick without running it through the wringer. That's all I'm saying, take it or leave it.
  37. RowdyMY

2023.7.5 is being released but still not far enough for the 2023.12.x cars!

Yes but that's my point. They didn't try and push those wider than employees and influencers. They thought they had something with this one
  38. RowdyMY

2023.7.5 is being released but still not far enough for the 2023.12.x cars!

I'm glad you think it's normal. You're wrong. Here is there rollout of 11.3.x 6 days, 2 days, and 7 days later there was a new iteration. 11.4.1 went 'wideish' 9 days ago and nothing since. They're not nearly the same.
  39. RowdyMY

2023.7.5 is being released but still not far enough for the 2023.12.x cars!

I knew that was going to be your counter point - and looking at 11.3.x as a whole, valid argument. It is weird that this one started to go wide and stopped so abruptly. While the iterative process is completly normal there wasn't a lot of iteration before Tesla started pushing this one. Maybe...

2023.7.5 is being released but still not far enough for the 2023.12.x cars!

That's not how 11.3.6 went at all. It was one of the fastest rollouts we've seen. Was completely FSDb fleetwide in 4 days.

Turn off FSD on the freeway?

USS aren't turned off in 11.3. If your Tesla has them they're still used. Have you tried toggling on minimize lane changes? You have to turn it on every drive but you can quickly access the setting by clicking left or right on the right scroll. When on, it should only make lane changes when...

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

    FSD Beta v11.x

Reference above - there's also a unique spot where a traffic light was removed about 6 weeks ago. Repaved and fresh lines with a jersey barrier in the middle now. Both directions I get the "stopping for traffic control in 600, 500, 400, etc" and it applies the brakes until I stalk down or...

    FSD Beta v11.x

Same issues here. There are a couple spots where to-the-foot it tries to move out of the right lane and says "changing lanes to stay out of the rightmost lane". All 4 spots are where it was previously using the "FSDb Stack" vs the "NoA Stack" I don't have this issue on any of my drive where...

Speculation - if/when Tesla merges FSD to the production branch, what will that mean for AP/EAP?

Not really sure what you're asking here. We have one with FSD(beta) and one without (AP only). Never confusing for either of us. Ever. If you're suggesting that someone who hasnt purchased FSD might assume that because it looks the same might try it and see, I would remind them that it's...

    FSD Beta v11.x

There's a spot on my daily commute where I can't enable now on v11 (both.3 & .6). What's interesting and counter to your statement is that if it's enabled before I hit that section, no problem and stays on. Road is not narrow and clearly marked with yellow center and white edge. Never had...

    FSD Beta v11.x

Changed into a right turn only lane at 77 MPH while navigation displayed (correctly) to continue straight. It was a standard and well marked decel lane that terminated at the turn. Definitely keep those hands on the wheel - much less time to cancel the change with the signal than NoA

    FSD Beta v11.x

It's not illegal in most states despite common belief. I'm sure someone will reply with "it's not legal in limnadia" and off we go. Some changes are inadvisable though in the interest of remaining predictable. e.g. changing from the left to the right when someone is clearly going to be making a...
