    My first valet experience

I doubt any valet attendant would answer "NO" when asked if he'd driven a Tesla before, even if that is the truth. 1. he will look stupid 2. perfect chance to learn

Thank you so much guys! I was concerned because my DS told me our connection is provided by Rogers here in BC. I never would've thought that we are actually roaming from at&t!

    3G connection in the USA

Hi all, can anyone confirm if the car's 3G connection works in the States? Will it be "roaming" but still connected? I'm planning a road trip and would like to know before I go. Thanks so much!

    BC Owners Club

picked up my MS 2 days ago at the Vancouver SC. Robin Peterson (owner advisor) there said she's sending out emails to owners about this BC Owners Club. I told her, yeah I knew about this from the forums, and remembered her name being mentioned here and there. She was super excited! haha Too...

    Window Tinting - Vancouver

Can someone recommend a good quality place to get Tesla windows tinted, in GVRD? I originally planned to get PhotoSync due to its good reviews, but the closest installer is in Seattle. I don't think I would want to drive down there, wait 6 hours, then come back... Someone mentioned N-motion...

Vancouver BC Canada's insurance rate $3,400?

I just found out today from my insurance agent that my annual premium on my MS85 will be around $3,400!!! My agent haven't even heard of Tesla, and had to call around before giving me that quote. He didn't even ask me whether it was a 60, 85, or Performance. Can anyone in BC Canada give me...

    Help deciding 60kw or 85kw

If money is not an issue - get the 85 If money is an issue - get the 85, and just divide the difference ($10k) by the length of your financing period (60/72/84 months)

Canada - an ordinary guy's journey and struggle to (just) an S60...

Thank you all for your stories! I'm fortunate that my house is paid off and I don't have any debt... I'm a government employee in the IT field, so that's relatively secure. The main thing for me was this car is just crazy COOL!!!! The performance, good looks, zero gas, etc. are all bonuses...

Wireless front parking camera with monitor for front bumper protection

I truly appreciate your hard work & expertise, WhiteP85, artsci, ken850. I'm just trying to offer a "simple" man's perspective. BTW, I'm a firm believer that cars in future will all have front video recording built-in. Not for parking assistance, but kind of like black boxes in planes, to offer...

Wireless front parking camera with monitor for front bumper protection

Please don't laugh at me: is it feasible to mount the front camera at 90 degrees, and put a mirror/prism in front of it, like a periscope thingy? see pic below I'll go back in hiding now...

    Power Folding Mirrors

I think a luxury high-tech car like the MS "should" have power folding mirrors. Some people may find them more/less useful, but that's not the point. Of course, when I get mine, I'll be parking at the furthest spot with no cars around me anyways!

Canada - an ordinary guy's journey and struggle to (just) an S60...

The power folding mirror addition in the tech package just became available on Oct 17. I had to email Tesla to add it. $200+tax difference. - - - Updated - - - After gov rebate of $5000 here in Vancouver, my config's OTR (on the road) price was around $93,000. This includes the extra 3% in...

Canada - an ordinary guy's journey and struggle to (just) an S60...

I'll be honest here: I'm not wealthy, I'm not a doctor/lawyer/entrepreneur/google intern, but I do have a relatively secure job. I'm an I.T. guy, and am knowledgeable in most new gadgets and cool stuff. A year ago, my daily commute went from 5km to 80km a day, and I started looking for hybrids...

    Unlocking the Doors from inside

what if you DON'T want someone from the outside to be able to tap the handle to extend it and open the door? wouldn't this be a safety concern if anyone can just open the door from the outside, when you're in the car? of course the stranger would have to know how a Tesla MS works, but it's possible.
