    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

Were you able to pop out the OEM OBD port and if so how did you do it? Are there tabs that you have to press to release it?

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

That panel pulls easily straight off. I was able to use this OBD splitter and cut off the end to splice the wires. I did not attempt to pop out the factory connector and replace it like Sullivansteve described above but I may attempt it later.

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

16 is, but not 11 (for constant power). The second one I ordered is this one: Amazon.com I like the low profile 90 degree angle of these so they don't intrude too much into the footwell.

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

FYI as some reviews mention this item is not as advertised - it does not have individual wires for every conductor so will not work for the purpose of cutting the other end off and connecting that way. Back to searching for a different solution.

This is perfect. I will be utilizing this for a much cleaner install without tapping. Thanks!

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

I just confirmed with my multimeter that that pin 11 does indeed seem to provide constant and pin 16 switched. Many thanks for this info. Now my next task is deciding how to tap it, either with OBD splitter or tapping the wires somewhere behind.

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

Very interesting. If this turns out to be the case this is exactly what I need. By standard OBD port you're referring to the user accessible one under the driver knee space?

Other users have reported in this thread that the OBDII port is in fact switched.

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

Have you (or anyone else) figured out a source for both switched and unswitched? I've gone up and down this thread countless times and can't figure out a definitive answer for unswitched. I thought @KevinY solution in the trunk was going to do it but that turned out to not be constant (I hope...

Thanks for the quick reply. Where is the subwoofer located?

    12V Access: Model S 2021 Refresh

Are you aware of any switched 12V power in the trunk? I'm installing a tracker that needs both constant and switched power.

2021 Model S Fuse Box Location

Hm, I'm guessing that's going to be the case with the Plaid. Have people been able to tap in anywhere on those models to get 12V switched and constant power for accessories?

2021 Model S Fuse Box Location

That's what I'm trying to figure out. The fusebox seems to have been completely removed from the frunk. I haven't dug into the kick panels yet.

2021 Model S Fuse Box Location

Anybody yet tried to access the fuses yet in the newest model? It has moved from prior year models and the manual has no information about it.
