Why say lot word when few word do trick?

Yeah they told me they would be clay baring and everything prior to wrapping, I would think it would cover imperfections but A) I'm not an expert by ANY means and B) it was bad enough that they called me about it.

As I understand from the call, it sounds like just swirls and micro-scratches from someone going a little too hard with the buffer. I'm doing an XPEL matte wrap so I'm not sure you would even tell under the film... but I guess I'll judge it when I see it for myself.

Question for the PPFer's lurking around here. Just dropped the car off to get wrapped ~2 hours ago... the detailer called and said the paint is pretty jacked up under the lights and that they basically need approval to move forward (so I assume its very not great). Going in later to check it out...

For anyone who has gotten their SC to swap out the Summer tires for All Seasons... what do they do with the Summer tires? I recall reading months ago that they were letting people keep the Summers since Tesla doesn't deal in used tires (I think)... Main concern is that we're now almost in April...

Do I need to worry about anything not being plugged in? I was going to just wait for the appt and deal with it then... but it doesn't look like there's much going on with that panel.

Same tires here, I'm set with the detailer for the end of the month so we'll see what they can do for the paint... Still debating matte ppf because I really like the gloss look! This was one of the minor issues... No clue how they missed it and I don't want to risk breaking anything pushing it...

Got her finally! Doing a final walk-around today but did have some issues... Mostly minor but the one side of the vehicle has a haze on the paint which is troublesome...

Just got a call that there was a big scratch on my rear bumper and they need to replace the entire part. Pickup pushed from tomorrow to next Wednesday.

This seems likely based on past posts. They'll put you next in line to get a VIN that matches your config and it'll flow down at a later date.

That lines up perfectly with our VINs, 5 day VIN difference, 5 day delivery difference. I didn't even get a date for when it would arrive so your guess is as good as mine there!

Just scheduled mine for March, looking at $7K here in VA.

The most common (if only) complaint I've seen on them is fast wearing. I work from home though and will likely only put 6-8K a year on the car so not a huge issue for me. Are you seeing anything different?

SA just texted back and said they heard back (idk from who) and are ordering AS tires and will swap them out when they come in.

That's re-assuring. I've always had all-seasons so this is my first run with summer tires... not really sure what to expect but I'm picturing doing involuntary donuts on the highway just because it's 20F outside.

I asked what the chances were for All Seasons at the SC upon delivery, but I think I'm in the same boat. It really doesn't snow THAT often in Northern VA, but it was around 30F here for a bit...

Is your account set to cash vs financing? Think I put this in the main thread... but I switched to cash and got my VIN two weeks later. Not saying its a for sure thing (especially if you're already set to cash) but might be worth a try?

So long story short... SAs don't really know anything until you have a VIN. That being said, based on your RN I would say Feb-Mar is realistic? We're seeing a lot of RN1151 and prior orders being filled (just got my VIN Monday, RN1150). But your guess is as good as mine when it comes to the VIN...

This was very similar to my State Farm quote but I'm ultimately sticking with USAA (which was slightly lower than SF).

I've asked before if they came with AS in VA and the response was "The 19" wheels for the long range Model S should come with all season tires for vehicles in Virginia". Should hopefully be an easy conversation if they ship with summers.

There is a Tesla Vin Finder add-on for Chrome... or you can right-click your order page, select "View page source", then ctrl+f and search for 5YJ (the first digits of all VINs).
